I do have the homebrew channel on 3.2, but I like have extreme assurance, with my preloader AND starfall, and the twilight hack could help too.by SwiftFinch - Homebrew General
Is it possible? When I first hacked my wii I immediately deleted the former as I thought I wouldn't need it anymore, but lately I've been thinking it's probably a good idea to have it just in case. If it's not possible, I'm guessing the alternative would just be to keep it on my sd card and switch the files if necessary, but if I can't get to the system menu to doby SwiftFinch - Homebrew General
Either Mario 1 or Castlevania 1, can't remember. But some great memories were indeed had.by SwiftFinch - Offtopic

Rinse, lather, and don't repeat. You can usually find a good deal on legal games around the internet somewhere.by SwiftFinch - Offtopic
Glad to know it's possible. I really wanted to implement online capabilities in SEAMS, but that probably won't happen for a while, just so I can get out a working version as fast as possible.by SwiftFinch - Coding
There are some pretty informative posts in this thread and the other one you bumped.by SwiftFinch - Homebrew Applications
If the boot file is .elf, that could be the problem. Try a few .dol files just to test; Pong for instance. If that works, you could probably convert your .elfs with this and work fine. Happy New Year to you as well.by SwiftFinch - Homebrew Applications
What do you mean "integrate"? But a web browser is supposedly in development, WiiSurf, by WiiCracker. Alternatively, you can get the internet channel from nintendo if you can't wait. What happens when you try to install DVDx?by SwiftFinch - Homebrew Applications
I have that kind, works great, and good size too.by SwiftFinch - Homebrew General
What type of sd card have you tried?by SwiftFinch - Getting Started
Alternatively you could probably use save extractor and installer. I can't guarantee it'll work because I don't use them, but it could be worth a try if you want. But of course, that's no reason to not develop a separate app for this function. :)by SwiftFinch - Homebrew General

Happy new year! Though there are still another 3 hours for me... Hm, I'm not thinking continuing with this is a good idea... Redownloaded it, same deal. When I rebooted the wii it said the system files were corrupted. 1 more reboot and it seems to work fine, but it scared me a bit. The first time I tried this game it gave me a disc read error for regular games, too. :( Or am I just accident-prone?by SwiftFinch - Homebrew Applications
When I try to run it with HBC, it just shows a garbled mess of random graphics and makes an irritating noise. I have a feeling it's not supposed to do that.by SwiftFinch - Homebrew Applications
I tried to install SDL MAME using the method on its page, but it doesn't show up in the Homebrew Channel menu. I even tried converting it to a .dol file, and still no luck. Second (so not to make multiple threads), Yabause isn't working. It loads, but then says it can't find the bios. I downloaded 3 of them (USA, Europe, and Japan), nothing. Renamed it to bios.BIN (says "canby SwiftFinch - Homebrew Applications
Well, the camera didn't work (couldn't paste things or drag and drop into them. Maybe it only can handle picture files, I dunno...), but luckily I remembered that my other laptop has an SD card reader, so got it all set up and everything. =D Thanks everyone!by SwiftFinch - Homebrew General
QuoteDanielHuehoThe Kaillera client itself is closed-source, and Windows-based. Unless someone takes a huge challenge and writes a full replacement, compatible with Kaillera, just for Wii, it's impossible. The best shot would be porting Open Kaillera, but will be still very hard. They have a download for the client SDK for developers, which I'm guessing could be used. Happy Christmas. I finally got Twilight Princess and an SD card, so I'm probably gonna try homebrew as soon as I sort everything out. First, do I absolutely need an SD card reader? I was planning to just put it in my camera and try to manage it through there. Would it work? Second, unfortunately I don't exactly have the most money in the world, so if I brick my wii, I probablyby SwiftFinch - Homebrew General
Would it be possible to integrate Kaillera into existing emulators to make use of the wii's internet? Kaillera can be put in emulators on the computer, but I dunno if it's possible with wiibrew because I'm not a developer of one. But it would be so awesome.by SwiftFinch - Homebrew Applications
