@Arikado: I honestly have no clue at what's going on here, but it has to be the nunchuk itself, because the other one works ok, but then again, both work on wii games. ps: I've just realized I've been spelling nunchuk incorrectly! did you plan on telling me someday? :)by Died2Well - Homebrew General
I have already tried that. My other nunchuck works just fine, so I suspect that it might be a hardware problem, but why does it work ok in wii games then?...strange.by Died2Well - Homebrew General
Hi. I'm having some trouble with certain apps that use the nunchuck, like quake, hellium boy, etc. The nunchuck works fine on wii games, but when i run those apps, right=left and up=down! Any help is appreciated! thanks. oh, and I have a 3.2U wii if that helps.by Died2Well - Homebrew General
I recently bought a Dreamgear charging station for the wii remote, and I was wondering if i could just replace the included batteries. I ask this here because the manufacturers won't reply my emails. What i know is that the battery pack consists of two AAA batteries of 700 mAh each. They last ok I think, but having a couple batteries of, say, 1100 mAh would be cool. They are easyby Died2Well - Offtopic
I'm having second thoughts about my last post. I remember (vaguely) playing with an atari 2600, I also remember the joystick. But I don't remember playing that piece of s... of pacman for 2600... I played something that looked like the arcade version. Could it be that i had an atari clone? ninja edit: i just saw pacman for atari 5200, and that's definitely what i played, nby Died2Well - Offtopic
I did a google search on wiibrew, and the search result shows "Phorum" instead of forum. comedy intended or a typo?by Died2Well - Offtopic
Thank you for all your advises. I´ve just opened the wii and it was soldered. I´ll just keep it then. But if something happens to the wii, Could I send it to Nintendo for repairs? if not, shame on me for buying a modded wii. Again, thanks for your support. It just didn´t feel right to just download a game, it´s basicly stealing.by Died2Well - Offtopic
ok, thanks. I'm not sure what kind of chip it is since the guy that sold me the wii didn't say. But still I'm not sure if i want to remove it myself, I don't want to risk my wii. I don't trust myself with a soldering gun.by Died2Well - Offtopic
I'm not sure how to start, so here it goes... Almost a year ago i bought a wii from an eBay wannabe site here in Chile (pretty good actually). It was used for almost 3 months and was a lot cheaper. It came with a modchip installed, but i didn't care. I blame myself for playing pirated games some friends lent me, and a couple I burned myself, but the thing is I want to "go clean".I lby Died2Well - Offtopic
I just tried it, and it's awesome! thanks!by Died2Well - Homebrew Applications
Well, I agree with you, a few linux users are a bit arrogant, but most of them aren't as they don't represent the whole. It's a very nice community that will help you getting started and fix any of your problems when you are changing to a linux-based os. however, ranting about which is the better seems pointless, and often it could lead to over the tone arguments. different os hby Died2Well - Offtopic
I think it was pacman for the Atari 2600, such great days... yeah, "the worst video game of all time" (um..e.t?) but i was a very little kid, and i didn't knew the arcades, so this was the sh$t.by Died2Well - Offtopic
well, I have been a windows user for a long time, and I can't deny that vista looked great, and it was more secure that xp, but vista is just a resource-hungry monster!, even in windows home basic. For example, many games run noticeable slow on vista that xp, and the usb readings were a bit slow, although sp1 fixed a lot of this issues. But the main problem with any windows os is that you nby Died2Well - Offtopic
I can't believe nobody posted this. more info here----> more specifically, here---> yeah, i know what you're thinking, what a geek! jeje. BTW, it's too late to celebrate, but i though of sharing it here anyway. reason for edits: spelling errors.by Died2Well - Offtopic
spritez, you could always make a wiki page in your native language, wiibrew has many articles in foreing languages. by the way, if your native language is spanish i could help you.by Died2Well - Homebrew Applications
@Tudor: I was talking about the snapshot, it got corrupted plus deleting the SRAM, but thank god your solution worked! I was playing that zelda game for a week only to find my savegame erased! thanks man!. About 1.0.4,it's in vba-wii, it's the same link you will find on the project's page on wiibrew, select "all downloads" and click search, but i'll stick to 1.0.7 if i wereby Died2Well - Homebrew Applications
I had a different problem now, after i loaded a spapshot the screen was scrambled and the game was frozen, and the savefile of the game showed up as empty. The game was TloZ minish cap, and i took a snapshot on a dialog cutscene. I know i have no hope for my savefile, i just wanted you to know.by Died2Well - Homebrew Applications
I think there is a misunderstanding, i'm sorry if i didn't make myself clear. the problem i'm talking about it's entirely about the wii version of vba, that sometimes when i save and load a snapshot of a game, the sound crashes, and to fix it, i have to return to hbc and load vba again. Loading the same snapshot will cause the sound to crash again. Reseting the game or loadinby Died2Well - Homebrew Applications
I have downloaded vba-m build 781, and, on the wii, tried to reproduce the error and succeded the first time (yay?). Apparently this happens when i save the snapshot in a screenchange or screen scrolling. Anyway, i had no trouble loading the savefile into vba.m for the pc, but for the snapshot, it said that it was an unsupported version. btw, sorry for my english. @Tantric: I don't miby Died2Well - Homebrew Applications
thanks for the advise!, i'll try loading a snapshot on vba-m next time I get this problem and post the results.by Died2Well - Homebrew Applications
It happens every now and then, when i load a snapshot the sound does not play anymore. I try with a different game, but the only solution is to return to hbc and load vba again. If i load the same snapshot, the sound dies again. Its no big deal, i just start from a saved game and make a new snapshot, but this time it's going to be a pain in the ass since i glitched into the four sword paby Died2Well - Homebrew Applications
Hi, I'm not sure if i should post this here. Anyway, i know that the wiimote successfully measures the life left of any alkaline batteries it's using, but i was wondering, would the wiimote measure correctly the battery life of a NiMH cell? being that they have a different voltage drop that alkaline cells have. Really stupid question, but I'm a little worried that this coulby Died2Well - Hardware
ok, thanks. i downgraded mi wii to 3.2u, and everything is working fine now. (note: i had to use a fix of the cios fom waninkoko and a wadmanager that uses ios16)by Died2Well - FixMii
Please i need some help! i have a wii with a modchip. i updated HBC to beta 9, and then i connected to the internet and downloaded the latest update (3.3?). After that, everytime i inserted a disc, an error message pops up reading "system files are corrupted" (HBC still worked). After some search on google, i found that the cause might be a faulty update, and the solution might be formattiby Died2Well - FixMii
