It's not entirely his own stuff, alot of it is just functions that have a lot of default parameters or something to make it easier, mainly just a layer of top of GXby WiiPhlex - Coding
I can put that forward to him, we talk most days.by WiiPhlex - Coding
I should imagine so, just make sure you don't make more than 1 cell.by WiiPhlex - Coding
Arikado said something about a DOS emu...by WiiPhlex - Homebrew General
Ohk, I finally (by accident) found out what this function is here for. It's to do with the TiledLayer class. Trilinear filtering is a 3D thing, so when you zoom, it will filter the pixels and make them look nice on the screen, sort of like 3D, although this comes at some cost. By default, a TiledLayer object has this disabled as it does not zoom, so theres no point in filtering it and so thiby WiiPhlex - Coding
Ok, thanks :) EDIT: argh, so many edits, anyways, would this do the job? while (response != 'y' && response != 'n') { PAD_ScanPads(); WPAD_ScanPads(); if(WPAD_ButtonsDown(0)&WPAD_BUTTON_A) response = 'y'; if(WPAD_ButtonsDown(0)&WPAD_BUTTON_B) response = 'n'; }by WiiPhlex - Coding
I've made a small black Jack game a while ago for a console window, and I'm having some problems with recieving input. One of the functions: { cout << m_Name << ", do you want a hit? (Y/N): "; char response; cin >> response; return (response == 'y' || response == 'Y'); } I'm having some trouble with. Basically I triedby WiiPhlex - Coding
It's not a port of google earth it's a port of google map's. I'd rather have google earth though ;)by WiiPhlex - Homebrew General
And the io streams are automatically handled with this emulator?by WiiPhlex - Homebrew General
Been trying a few things, not much has worked effectively yet, I'll keep you update when I work on it again.by WiiPhlex - Coding
I get all of my graphics done by Mr_Nick666, no questions, just does them for me.by WiiPhlex - Feedback & Support
Quake 1 and 2 were dos, I think quack 3 was slightly later, 95 perhaps?by WiiPhlex - Homebrew General
Well done, I'm always surprised at how easy it is to program for the wii (in comparison to other consoles).by WiiPhlex - Coding
I have to agree with Link, why would you port software based for a telecomunications devise to a console dedicated for games and basic multimedia? Considering the difference in CPU structures, it wouldn't be a simple port, large rebuilds possibly, but who knows.by WiiPhlex - Homebrew General
Just because it's the same engine doesn't mean it will be simple...by WiiPhlex - Homebrew General
I have the source for Quake 3, but I don't know how recent it is, but then again none of them are really that recent. I had a look at the source, there's a lot of it, but as said above it's only a matter of time before 2 is ported and possibly 3.by WiiPhlex - Homebrew General
Could you provide links with what this is for those of us who don't.by WiiPhlex - Homebrew General
Generally setting the alpha value for an entire surface or just a pixel is very easy, just a single function call, don't know what that function is though sorry, I don't have a lot of knowledge in GX.by WiiPhlex - Coding
Is there a function that gets the number of initialized attached controlers?by WiiPhlex - Coding
At least he knows, it's much better when you know why something isn't actually working.by WiiPhlex - Coding
_pixel[0] = a _pixel[1] = r _pixel[2] = g _pixel[3] = b edit: sorry Arikado I thought you had the source code? I would have posted this sooner if I knew you hadn't.by WiiPhlex - Coding
Libwiisprite converts when an image is loaded if(color_type == PNG_COLOR_TYPE_RGBA) // Swap RGBA to ARGB png_set_swap_alpha(png_ptr);by WiiPhlex - Coding
I think this would have been far easier dealing directly with the API and not using Libwiisprite, but who doesn't enjoy a challenge every now and again.by WiiPhlex - Coding
If you want to do it from scratch you could use Libwiisprite,it uses GX, if your just doing simple stuff, I would advise Libwiisprite, but more complicated things may require some more advanced stuff in GX, there are some homebrew articles around for learning GX. If you install devkit pro there are some examples on how to use it's basics.by WiiPhlex - Coding
I think I may have a possible reason, when you load an image into video memory, before accessing it, the program will (but not explicitly) lock that image so that no data can be written to that location otherwise you could possibly get horrible errors and what not. Locking essentially stops anything over writing where that object is located, that may be the reason why you are unable to write to tby WiiPhlex - Coding
If you can't change it, then it may be something to do with the image, _pixels is an array, does it contain the information of that image?by WiiPhlex - Coding
I can see it's an array. Can you still not get it to work?by WiiPhlex - Coding
What is the length of _pixels?by WiiPhlex - Coding
I agree with Arkiado, It's easier to download a game, but your killing the future of games when you do :(by WiiPhlex - Homebrew General
