The Wii has 24 (mem1) + 64 (mem2) MB of RAM The beginning of Mem1 is filled with infos, and the HomeBrew community has a quasi-standard to keep an area of memory untouched to allow "return to loader". Basicly you are mssing the lower 16 Kilobyte of Mem1 You can use the Rest of Mem1 (your code resides there too) You can use the lower 51MB of mem2 (IOS memory starts after that) All in alby daniel_c_w - Homebrew General

Quoterevnmaynardmy boot1 is the twilight hack. . You are missunderstanding something. Boot1 is a piece of software, that is loaded at startup. It is fixed and can't be changed. It's job is to check boot2 and then run it. Older boot1s have an error, that can be abused to replace boot2 with somethign else. Your Boot1 is too new. It does not have the error. It will only run an originaby daniel_c_w - BootMii Beta

We do not really know what is the issue, but the imho the following facts strongly suggest, that the Wii has a "shitty" drive. -The drive is from the same manufacturer, that created the GameCubes drive. -Both make clicking noises -The Gamecube drives had a bad reputation. Not as well known like the Xbox's RROD, but back in the day I had not hard time to find people who get the default errby daniel_c_w - Homebrew General
