If you want to retain most functionality, I suggest installing cIOS249 before updating. I know everyone here hates it because they think it's only good for piracy, but it's actually quite useful in other ways. With cIOS249, you can run Dop-IOS after you update to 4.1, which allows you to trucha-patch all of the newest IOS versions as you download them from Nintendo's Update Servby kobalobasileus - Getting Started
Personally, I'd also love to have more autoboot options in BootMii Boot2. This is obviously not a new feature that would make sense for the Homebrew Channel, but it would be great for BootMii. Since BootMii can already autoboot into either the Homebrew Channel or the System Menu, why couldn't Team Twiizers just add another simple option that allows BootMii to autoboot to whatever booby kobalobasileus - BootMii Beta
I read about this on a certain site that everyone here hates... Apparently, the errors you're getting won't prevent AnyTitleDeleter from working. They are caused by the fact that ES_Identify is the only ES_function currently patched by Dop-IOS.by kobalobasileus - Getting Started
It looks like you need to install the latest IOS36 with Dop-IOS and apply the ES_Identify patch as well as the Trucha patch.by kobalobasileus - Getting Started
Try deleting the settings files for the emulators. I've found that I frequently get a black screen with a new version because it can't handle the previous version's settings file. Of course, a single hard reset solves the problem for me, so you might be in a different situation.by kobalobasileus - Homebrew Applications
I had 2 bad blocks as well. My girlfriend only had one bad block on her NAND.by kobalobasileus - BootMii Beta
Ha ha, I'm an idiot. I went ahead and used DOP to install any IOS I didn't have already (38, 53, 55, 60) and patch trucha into them. Still got the message (which I mistakenly quoted as saying "install" when it says "download"). It turns out it just wanted to download an updated list of DLC for MLaaK. *FACEPALM* I don't think DOP is shady at all. It worked just like Tonaby kobalobasileus - Getting Started
I already checked if a new version of MLaaK is available; it's not. I said in my initial post that I ran both of Tona's updaters. I do have IOS61 and the current shop. The actual shop channel works, just not the DLC section of MLaaK. I don't have IOS 60 yet, so I guess I can try that.by kobalobasileus - Getting Started
Here's something odd I ran into last night. When I run FF Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King, go to the DLC menu within the game, and try to buy new DLC, I get the message "You need to install updates." I have chosen "no" every time because I don't want to do a system update. I asked about this on another board, and nobody with an updated Wii has this problem, so I'm assumby kobalobasileus - Getting Started
