Thank you for helping this guy all, I found him over on wiird's forums and he couldn't get any help over there. Glad you got it fixed Takeshi55, I knew if you came over here these guys would help you out. If you run into Homebrew issues again this really is the place to come. These guys have saved my skin a half dozen times in 3 months. Anyways enjoy your cheats on WW/VC now, and have fby elmoreas - Homebrew Applications
Thanks for the link I will check it out, anyone else have any others so I can check them all out at once? Well talk to you all later. Sincerely, Elmoreasby elmoreas - Offtopic
Well WaxyPumpkin72 you were right and I was wrong. And I am glad to hear it. Yessssss. I can contine you playing with Gecko OS. I thought the Wii was like any other PC and that when you had to hold down the power button until it goes off (aka a hard shut down) that it was bad for it. To find out that it is okay is music to my ears and makes me feel better too as perhaps I have not damaby elmoreas - Homebrew Applications
I got the Datel's SD Media Card Launcher and said in an earlier post that I would report on its functionality once I got it and tested it, like I did with the new v1.2 Action Replay and Freeloader. The only problem I am running into is finding hombrew for the GC still available on the net. Does anyone know where you can get HBC and or HB apps for the GC that will run on the SD Media Cardby elmoreas - Offtopic
Really? I was under the impression that all hard shut downs were bad for the Wii. Don't get me wrong I am very happy to hear I was wrong as it means I can continue playing the game with the codes on, but I am just very surprised to hear someone say that there is an instance where hard shut downs are not that bad for the system. I guess the system is sort of in a semi shut down state when itby elmoreas - Homebrew Applications
I am currently using the codes: Disable Ressiti, Water Flowers & Weeds Pulled, Catalog Complete (Temp), Buy Anything From Catalog, Nookway to Nookingtons, Time Change with Button Activator; And in the past I used 99m ABD machine, 99k wallet, Nook points max. But I am not really concerned about the codes as I have tried using fewer codes in different combinations and it still happens, all the wby elmoreas - Homebrew Applications
Every time I use the cheat codes for Animal Crossing City Folk they work fine but when I go to end the game and go back to the main screen by the home button > wii menu or reset after saving and getting to the ACCF main screen the game locks up and I have to hard shut down and reboot. My question is, how hard is it on your console to hard shut down and restart once a game is over and the screeby elmoreas - Homebrew Applications
Thats okay this app is a ways off as I still have many saves left to create and a site to build so I can afford to wait for the mod. But if it doesn't happen or won't work it is no big deal as the number of saves it affects is small compared to the total that will be in the app. Thanks for the info though. Have a good one. Sincerely, Elmoreasby elmoreas - Homebrew Applications
So Arikado did you have any luck finding out what was wrong with the ISFS file system, or is it too soon to be asking? Sorry I don't know how long this will take or how busy you are. I was also wondering if I should go ahead and risk DOP-IOS MODing the system menu on v4.2 to see if that helps? Before I do that should I turn off my update blocker? Sorry I know it is a dumb question but I wantby elmoreas - Homebrew Applications
I have run sign check and I do indeed have trucha installed on IOS 36. So to recap even if I trucha bugged IOS 70 it would not help my situation and it "could" cause a full brick if something went wrong, so there is really no need to do it. Also the issue seems to be in the app and not my Wii's IOS's setup so I should just wait for the fix and try again, correct? Also I have run an appby elmoreas - Homebrew Applications
No I do not have the trucha bug in my System menu IOS, just in IOS 36. So I have a few questions that may solve this for me. 1.) On v4.2 what is the system menu IOS number, 60/61/etc..? 2.) Is it safe to trucha bug the system menu, I mean in the sense that it is relatively as safe as doing it to IOS 36? 3.) What app should I use to trucha bug the system menu, TBR or DOP IOS MOD v11.2?by elmoreas - Homebrew Applications
Soooooo Close.... It worked right up to the point where you selected the save file to down load. At that screen, it just says to pick which one, but it does not list them, it is blank. When you go ahead and hit a it brings up some random file that has unrecognizable characters in the name field and some numbers that look like a USB Gecko Address below that. When I tried to copy that over, just asby elmoreas - Homebrew Applications
I have the Gecko OS rebooter option, I just need to know how to use it. I have the system menu already DOP-IOS MODed. I also know to turn the no copy protection flag setting in rebooter to yes. I just don't know once the system is rebooted what method to do to copy the save to the SD card. Like run the game and save or go into the data managment and try to copy, or what. I was hoping someoneby elmoreas - Homebrew Applications
Considering what they are used for I don't blame you and since I would lose all support rights here and for moral reasons I won't be installing it. But if you make a mod then I would. That would be great BTW, I am sure there are a lot of people who would love to have Save Game Manager that are not willing to install cIOS 249 so it would likely be popular. It sure would help me out. I haby elmoreas - Homebrew Applications
Even after running DOP-IOS MOD v11 (with success thanks Arikado for your hard work on v11 great job making it better) Save Game Manager will still not function right, even though it is set up correctly. I was told you could change the No copy protection settings in Gecko OS Rebooter Settings and then Reboot your system and copy the saves that way. The only problem is the person did not know howby elmoreas - Homebrew Applications
Good news, freeloader worked on all 3 games from India; So now Freeloader v1.2 is confirmed to work on US Wii Consoles running system menu v4.2 as well as Action Replay is confirmed to work on v4.2 too. Since this worked I am ordering the SD media card launcher to test and run GC HB on the Wii and see how that goes. I plan to test it on my second wii that has little DLC so if something goes wrongby elmoreas - Getting Started
Thank you for at least saying I did the right thing, and sorry for going off but it felt like I was being attacked for wanting to try to stay somewhat anonomous, even though it is unlikely I could if they really wanted to track me down. I appologize if I offended anyone, that was not my intent, I just felt cornered and didn't like it. Anyways I am sorry. I figured there is little that coby elmoreas - Homebrew General
I am fully aware of todays tracking technology and that all I did was put up a nusiance barrier, but that is all I intended to put up. If I wanted to put up more I would have or I would have just not contacted them. Looks lets get back on topic here. Thats good to know, I was wondering what you meant by "Its the actual booting that could potentially cause issues." cause so far everything has worked as advertised? BTW I asked my neighbor, who is from India if he has any GC games from back home and he does, and he is going to let me borrow a couple and try them and see if freeloader works. I am going to read up on it first though to make sure iby elmoreas - Getting Started
I just wanted to stay out of the middle of it, in case it went to court I didnt want to have to be called to court to testify like a hundred times. Nothing sinister, its just that I didn't want to get "THAT" involved in their affairs. Make a list of each game or app maker whose stuff is being sold and then try to find their websites. When you do, find the contacts section and find their email address and then make up a one time use yahoo email account and send them each an email saying what you found with a link to the site, and say you found it by accident and wanted to let them know so they could take action to stop these peby elmoreas - Homebrew General
Well it should work then cause the codes for Lego Star Wars II, Bionicle, F-Zero GX, Star Wars Rouge Leader, and TMNT all worked fine. I hope it doesn't cause any issues booting up on other games, but it hasn't so far "knock on wood" so all is good for now. Well talk to you all later. Elmoreasby elmoreas - Getting Started
Whhheeeww It worked. You guys had me worried. I thought my wife was going to kill me for buying another thing for the Wii and this time it didn't even work. But low and behold the action replay cheat codes work on system menu v4.2 I have no way of testing Freeloader as I have no out of region GC games and don't plan to buy any either but I don't believe it will work as the instructby elmoreas - Getting Started
Apparently they have released a 2nd version of the Wii compatible disc just this past December of '09' (v1.2), that is supposed to work on Wiis up to v4.2 This is the one my cousin would have gotten, as he got it for Christmas. I ordered it too just last week and it is supposed to be here tomorrow according to the UPS tracking number, so once it is here I will test it and report back.by elmoreas - Getting Started

As you all may or may not know I am working on an app that has to do with saved games. I need to be able to extract/install all saved games I have, so I need to be able to use Save Game Manager. The fact that it didn't work up until now was just a nuisance now it is a problem. I was told in a since deleted PM, that in order for it to work a certian IOS needed to be fakesigned by TBR or Dby elmoreas - Homebrew Applications
Thanks that is all I needed to know. I was curious about their usefulness, safety, and history. Apparantly they have none, so its best to avoid them. Glad I asked before trying. Just going to stick to codes from now on. BTW I found codes on cheat happens that are not on Wiird's database or forums that work just fine, and they claim to screen their codes so you might want to check them out aby elmoreas - Homebrew Applications
The new one does work, I tried it at my cousins house but you are right you cannot add new codes to it, but in all honesty gamecube is done and there are no new games so it should have all the codes on it for all the games that have them. It could be a better situation but at least he would have something on his Wii and not have to have a GC. Elmoreasby elmoreas - Getting Started
No check out cheat happens Wii section and look for trainers they are .gpf I am 100% certain as I read the instructions. Its not a grammer error or a typo. I know what a .gct is I am talking about a .gpf. They are 2 different thing. Here check this out. It is a for real thing, trainers for the Wii using Gecko OS using a .gpf file I just wondered if others had done it and what they thought of itby elmoreas - Homebrew Applications
Hey all, I was surfing cheathappens and found that they now carry codes and trainers for the Gecko OS. The thing is I don't understand the whole trainer bit. I know what they are and how they work on the PC, but not on the Wii. Apparently they use a file type called .gpf that is loaded as a cheat in Gecko OS by adjusting the settings. I was wondering if 1. Anyone had used a .gpf file on Geckby elmoreas - Homebrew Applications
