Well Tinte is slowly and surely working on this but is very busy with work and such as well. He will release a demo of sorts when he has completed enough of this to show something decent. If you look in my very first post of this thread there is a list of many applications that use this engine and they can be ported with some effort and a few adjustments. As far as a I know after Tinte is done poby Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
ummmm isnt there a pokedex in the game?by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
well there is a ethernet adapter for the wii that you can use via usb but im sure that maybe is possible but the pso emulator is far from being online capableby Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
I think what he means is making a universal program to do everything with out loading a new app so like combines the nes emu and snes9x and wii64 and genesis and have it so it can detect what kinda roms you load and play them all with out switching programs. but this would be too hard because then the programs update they would have to be reintegrated into this one main program and it would be veby Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
Yeh you could have different controls like tilting the wiimote to move the little paddle thing.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
QuoteArikadoI think because the classic controller is broken and the sound is still slow and unsynced. Classic Control was broken when they updated DevKitPro anyways if you look at the svn tickets it says it will be fixed with the next official release on the svn they updated Wii64 to read files from burned dvds and .zip files. You can always compile the svn your self but right now theres not reaby Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew Applications
Honestly I don't see the purpose of an emule mod for Wii would be because the Wii's internet and Storage are both slow and limited so I don't think it would work very well further more seeing that this forum doesn't support piracy emule is a source of piracy of many forums although not many people use it these days.by Link_of_Hyrule - The Junkyard
Well it would be interesting to see what you could do with it but just so you know his name is beardface not breadface.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
Actually I think that GeeXbox supports this but because linux doesn't support wi-fi you need a usb ethernet adapter.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
theres a site like this you can use with out any homebrew flawlessly thru the internet channel I don't remeber what its called though i'll have to get back to you when i remeberby Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
sorry for the double post but I updated the first post of the topic with the document that Tinte has made outlineing some of his work on the ogre port and future iris2 port to Wii.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
Its very unlikely a future update will cause your wii to brick because of it.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew Applications
Yeh the Wii's gpu is made by ATI :) anyways Tinte said he will probably have some more ported by the end of the week maybe he will have a demo ready he already sent me this kool sample with a spinning tiger but I'm sure his demo that he releases will be much more complex.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
Wow thats awesome Tinte you seem like your a very smart experienced person and its great to see something actually happening with this. I look forward to your first demo release. Do you think we can expect something soon? Not exactly completely related to this topic but i made a GlovePie script for Iris2 (which uses ogre and possible in the future will run on Wii its self) anyways if anyone isby Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
It doesn't require "DIVx" it require "DVDx" which is completely different its a library that enabled the Wii to read DVDs in homebrew with out a modchip. I've found it works perfectly fine with most DVDs. Its not possible to play DVDs on the Wii in any application with out it. Think of DVDx as a sort of driver that enables code already on the Wii to activates a DVDVideo mode that the Twby Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew Applications
This works pretty awesome I even got Chex Quest to work with it and I'm working on getting the Super Mario Doom to work on it also. A few things this needs is first IR support as well as fix for the whole A and B buttons not working on the Menu. Second thing it needs is a WAD selection menu that would be really nice so we can have more then one doom mod on the sd card at a time and load it yby Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew Applications
What are you talking about? didn't you read the first post? MPlayer plays DVDs...by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew Applications
Someone has already made some sort of youtube viewing homebrew.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
wow sounds cool maybe in 2 years when I'm back from my mission your ogre port will be completed :Dby Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
Great news Tinte I look forward to hearing more its great that your on the forums now.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
Theres already a PSX emu being made by the Wii64 devs.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
lol old school ultima was weird lolby Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
There are special instructions to do this but honestly right now I don't its worth the effort it takes to install it for the function that it gives which right now is little.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew Applications
Not really sure haven't talked to him for a while hopefully he will get on this week and post something.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
There is already a lua library ported to wii I'm sure it would be pretty easy to port what your talking about.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
using quake thru dosbox would definately not be as good as doing a direct port I think that the performance would be greatly reduced also if you do a direct port you can tweak it a bit possible have better graphics who knows.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
What is pandora can you give us more information on this?by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
No I don't think that quake 3 is a dos based game.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
You have to use the USB Ethernet adapter though because linux doesn't support Wi-Fi yet. Anyways its not hard to put any files on the sd card from your pc using FTPii which does support Wi-Fi.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
why would we want to use a phone os on the wii? I think maybe the code would take a lot to make work considering how different a cell phones hardware would be then the wii.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
