I solved this problem long ago. Thanks for trying though!by Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
QuoteSantaCodeI had a similar issue. What worked for me was to re-format the SD card using the software from this site: http://www.sdcard.org/about/downloads/ -Santa I installed that and it still says "It's write protected please turn off the write protection switch" and the switch IS off. Taping it doesn't work either. This is really annoying.by Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
It shows nothing on it. Homebrew apps don't work, I've tried it to be sure.by Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
No because I can't put anything onto the SD card or format it right now.by Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
I had to get a new SD card since the last one broke (This was a problem on the last one however right before it broke) and I'm trying to reinstall Ocarina but the problem is when I try to save it to the direct root of the SD card it says "This disk is write protected". Why is this happening? I've tried moving that white sliding thing on the side of the card up and down but it hasn'by Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
The Ocarina code manager thing on my Computer is empty all of a sudden...I suck at this, somone clearly explain how the hell I add codes!? Last thing I need to know! I'll use it responsibly, Nintendo has bad online, I don't care about winning. I'll go on Target Test and stuff occasionly but I'll only taunt spam like usual.by Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
Where is the Homebrew Bowser/ Where can I get it? I think I might have fixed it, you meant move the folder named Ocarina under HBC to apps. I did that, I'm going to try it out, if it doesn't work I'll try that HBB. It worked! Thanks for the advice!by Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
The Ocarina file in HBC is a GCT file, right? Because it is in mine. Okay I tried it and it didn't work. I move around to much stuff in the Ocarina file. What was the file in HBC called?by Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
Wait, I put the Ocarina folder in the apps folder, that's a step on the right track. It still doesn't work though. Do I have to check the homebrew channel first or something?by Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
Quake is messed. I'm controlling the pointing part but I have no control over movement or shooting...weird. Probaly just a problem with my nunchuck, it's been acting up. I'm nearly done installing Ocarina, I've done all the steps, do you activate VIA homebrew channel or some other way? I really need help on this part, then I'll be finished! Here are the steps I follby Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
I did it! Thank you so much, I couldn't have done it without you helping me man! Now to install Ocarina, that's much easier though, right?by Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
I used extract files last time, I'll try that. It addes some new folders when I did that so it looks like it's working but I'll go test it out.by Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
I clicked extract files then a folder with the same name came up. Time to try it out and see if it works! Edit: It didn't work! What could I have done wrong? Was it what I just said above?by Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
Okay so I'm pretty sure I unzipped the file and I put it in my SD card root but it's not working. Do I need to do something involving extracting? Sorry, I'm bad at this.by Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
I found out how to do it! In windows FAT16 is just called FAT. Whaddya know. That's great news for me! I'm going to try it out now, see if it works after putting the homebrew files back into the root of my SD card. Okay, I tried it out. It didn't work but I still feel good now that I formatted it, I feel like I'm getting close. I downloaded Homebrew files and Twilight hackby Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
I've already said this: I can't! I don't know how to! When I right click then click format only FAT 32 shows up.by Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
Dude, why are you talking to yourself. I need help.by Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
That guy helped me, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to or not. Anyways, will FAT32 work the same?by Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
I'm confused, do I have to format it to FAT16 or can I format it to FAT32 and it will still work?by Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
Sorry for not replying, it's because I did use Data.bin at first and was told to try title.bin so that couldn't be the problem. I'll change it back to data.bin once I figure out how to format it to FAT16by Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
Wait, so after I format it I'm supposed delete the stuff I downloaded? And the thing is: I don't have the option to format it to FAT16. When I right click the SD card and click format I only get FAT32 as an option. Maybe you were trying to tell me how and I'm just tired, if you were can you explain it more clearly?by Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
I deleted the Data.bin file like I was supposed to...right? Or was I not supposed to delete that if I still needed to format to FAT16?by Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
That's the thing, I can't choose FAT16, it doesn't show up!by Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
Okay...I found out where to format it but I only get the option FAT32 and no FAT16. What do I do now?by Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
Thanks for the quick answer! Wait, wait how do I format it do FAT16 again? Like I said, I'm awful at this stuff. Do I use WinRAR?by Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
I've put the Twilight hack in ADZE folder and named it title.bin and I've put the homebrew files (Wii load, .ELF and READ ME) in the SD card, yet when I go to my Wii SD card part the Twilight hack doesn't show up..what could be wrong? I'm awful at this stuff. I can't download stages for Brawl either (Despite doing exactly what it says), do I need to format my SD card tby Hippochinfat - Homebrew General
