Anything's possible. Unfortunately, having this topic left open isn't really. If you have something more intelligent or technically-oriented to discuss concerning the subject, you can try again. But "What ifs" about piracy tools are the fail, sorry.by tona - Homebrew General
There are a lot of ways to get unencrypted IOS modules. You can read them directly from the Wii filesystem, decrypt a NAND dump with segher's tools, or decrypt an IOS WAD with segher's tools. Most of them are ARM ELFs that you can easily put through IDA.by tona - Software
The Mark Forum Read and RSS icons have been moved and replaced by simple icons with their names in alt/title/hover text. This saves a some space and looks a little bit prettier in my opinion. It may go under some minor tweaking and whatnot. Feel free to give your opinions and comments on it. I should probably align them to the right or something, though. Hm.by tona - Feedback & Support
I can't really read it from that picture, but it looks like: Wii???????????????????? "Please connect the Nunchuck to the Wii Remote" Which should be self explanatory.by tona - Homebrew General
Okay, I changed the functionality, albeit rather whimsically. I think the "Redirect to message list" behavior is more standard, which is why I made the change so quickly. If anyone else has opinions on this matter, feel free to give your two cents.by tona - Feedback & Support
Hm. I don't seem to remember that functionality. Let's test it. Edit: By George, you're right! I'll look into it.by tona - Feedback & Support
The spam filter usually activates if you make two posts in quick succession. If you get that message, just wait a while and hit post again.by tona - Feedback & Support
They certainly do add a line or so without adding much of a feature. I'll look into some template changes to make it more space conservative. This list of forums IS rather long.by tona - Feedback & Support
Quotemoronicronhow to not get your wii bricked. stay away of wanninikos downgrader or anything he dose except save game extractor/installerThere's plenty of ways to brick your Wii without touching anything by Waninkoko. Just being "by Waninkoko" does not make anything more likely to brick. What's more, most of Waninkoko's stuff couldn't brick your Wii if you wanted it to.by tona - Homebrew General
QuotecuberHello, I left a message on the wiibrew wiki discussion thing. I'd cut and paste but I can't as I'm using my wii. ^^; Anyway, I love that I can go to other regions shops and things, but I think I may of messed up my News channel. >.>; I went on it when my shop was set to JP and I went and changed it to jp, I didn't think it would be a big deal, I just did iby tona - Homebrew Applications
If you're talking about backups, then you should have read the rules before posting at all. If you're talking about import games, then no, there is no way to play them without TP Hack or a drivechip.by tona - Homebrew General
Yeah, that's all I meant. I talk to people working on lots of different homebrew, and I don't know a single person working on anything for that contest, whereas I know a lot that are working on things regardless of that contest.by tona - Offtopic
Wait, people are actually doing things for that tournament? That's news to me...by tona - Offtopic
QuoteXylitethats what we have hit, with a low of new ppl active in the forum, minimal homebrew being made, it seems we have hit a platue, and are stuck with simple nes style games, personally i think this compettion was a bad idea, because no one is putting any work out because they are saving it all up for the tourny The hell are you talking about? I watched beardface update WiiPhysics a few daby tona - Offtopic
If he can't get the twilight hack going, there's not much he can really do....by tona - Homebrew General
Oh, my brain skipped over the "and" in your sentence. Probably because its inclusion makes the sentence grammatically incorrect. I assume this means you want to be able to attach files everywhere, then. Well, once again, the same reasoning applies. We see no reason to encourage people to use our bandwidth instead of their own or of free services. It's not really all that more convenient,by tona - Feedback & Support
Why can't you use the DVD library on 3.3? There's lots of ways to downgrade now--and nothing is 100% safe. I haven't really heard of bricks with any of them, though.by tona - Homebrew Applications
Blatant request of services. Sorry. Also: I wish you luck in "modding" eMule for the Wii.by tona - The Junkyard
Quotestrongfanso, if someone puts this into their homebrew, it will boot into GC mode? If that's the case, could this get GC homebrew to run? No, this launches the BC title, which switches to gamecube mode and launches an inserted gamecube disc. It doesn't really enable anything new.by tona - Software
So... You want free private file hosting? Hm... If you can think of a reason why that's so much more convenient than using drop.io or some other service, I'll consider it.by tona - Feedback & Support
Quotehai_haifai have a jap-wii too... can i change the lang. to english without changing the region? so i can still play backup games... because i have D2CKEY and if i want to change everything i need also to open my wii and change the jumper on the D2CKEY and this is something that i dont want.Just change everything except the GAME region. Of course, then you won't be able to launch someby tona - Homebrew Applications
For those of you who preferred the style, community, or topics of the previous iteration of the Wiibrew forums, there is a new mirror being run by the admin AlexLH. All of the old topics have been preserved, so you can easily pick up on your conversations there as you please :) Link: Comments are disabled on this topic, we'll have no "choosing sides" on any of this.by tona - Feedback & Support
You might want to look at geckoload or the SD loader or something, but you basically just load code sections from an elf/dol to the correct section of memory and execute the Entry Point. The DOL format is explained here: And ELF is standard. But, like I said, I'd look to the source of some other elf/dol loading applications.by tona - Coding
QuoteVideogamerWell I guess if I have to get DVDx then I will. But where do I download it from? Anybody have links? I think might have been a link or two in the first post of this topic. Not completely sure though. You should check.by tona - Homebrew Applications
Congratulations on another great post! Posting privileges for that forum have been revoked. Make sure you review the coding forum rules: It may even answer your questions!by tona - The Junkyard
If you just post it in plaintext form on the wiki, quite often people will be nice enough to come along and format it. If your guide has substantial utility, this is more likely to be the case.by tona - Offtopic
