QuoteWaxyPumpkin72QuoteICEingThis is the video link (Theres nothing illegal in the video) Its near the end of the video it shows his Wiimenu as a matrix theme LINK What makes you so sure that its not illegal? Anyway, I already told you there's a way to do it, I'm pretty sure the way he did that was by using a program that isn't supported here. So just try making a new topic asby ICEing - The Junkyard

I must be late, but I saw on youtube someone with a picture on their Wii where the Health and Safety screen is when you start up the Wii, and the Wii menu had a "Matrix" theme to it! It looked really sweet and I wanted to ask you guys how can I do this to mine? I'm sure this isnt illegal because its just changing how your Wii Menu looks right? I wanted to have the "Matrix" theme on my Wii itby ICEing - The Junkyard
Oh I got it now. So should I really concern myself with the Trucha bug or not really?by ICEing - Homebrew General
QuoteSifJarHBC itself. Its fakesigned. It has to be signed or the Wii wont allow it, and if it was actually signed, as opposed to fakesigned, it'd be illegal. Gecko OS hooks are a feature of Gecko OS which lets you reboot your wii with certain things in place, like region free or usb gecko debugging. Kinda like preloader hacks, but temporary. I never installed any trucha when installingby ICEing - Homebrew General
QuoteSifJartrucha bug is needed to install fakesigned content (e.g. HBC, custom channels, warez), and contrary to what maniac said, TT DO still use it, just in a different form, where it doesnt actually have to be present in any IOS. Its needed for stuff like StartPatch, preloader, gecko os hooks, and warez. Thats about it really. HBC itself or the apps? What are gecko OS hooks? Some codes Iby ICEing - Homebrew General
Quotemetroid_maniacNope. However there ARE apps that restore the trucha bug to some IOS. Unfortunatly these arn't supported by Wiibrew as they can be used by pirates. Sorry. What exactly does trucha bug do to IOS? Whats the benefit?by ICEing - Homebrew General
QuotejdtannerSending to Nintendo: can't do that. Well, I guess I could, just would have to pay them also. Looking for a company who deals with this. I suspect Nintendo would not be thrilled with my explanation of what I did. My wii is one of the first. Got it a long time ago and out of warranty. Sorry about the 2 similar topics guys my comp froze up when posting one so I didnt see this one when I re-made the other one. But as for the DVD X It works completely fine now. It was actually the disc I used that was screwed up :)by ICEing - Offtopic
Mines does the same thing too lolby ICEing - Homebrew General
Lol I would say sometime in 2010? Hopefully before 2009 is over XDby ICEing - The Junkyard
QuoteTopGun96Its because it is a flaw that is not your fault.... but a free year of warranty is weird. Indeed. Nintendo was generousby ICEing - Offtopic
Unfortunatly I updated to 4.1 the "normal" way. What have I "lost" because of this?by ICEing - Homebrew General
QuoteWaxyPumpkin72QuoteICEingI recently had to send my Wii to Nintendo due to some problems with my disc not loading. I spoke with a representative over the fone at first and explained the problem. QuotejdtannerWell, I'm getting near the end on this matter I think. Having tried all your folks suggestions (except Japanese Disc) without any luck, I am considering sending it to be fixed. Awaiting their final details, but it appears modchipman will attempt to fix via bios for 60-70 plus shipping but no guaranteed. QuoteSifJarDefinetly not. Is is only used for piracy and, well, thats it really. Occasionally used to allow re-enabling trucha bug after an update (if cIOS is installed before update, it can be used to restore trucha bug after it), but that itself is in turn used for piracy. There's StartPatch, but its not really necessary for most people. Other than that, there are no legitimate uses for cIby ICEing - Homebrew General
Thanks. I dont need any cIOS really right?by ICEing - Homebrew General
Yea I installed bootmii as boot2 it works fine. Its just at first I downloaded it as an IOS by mistake then deleted it. I get worried when messing with IOSby ICEing - Homebrew General

QuotePickles21I downloaded to Wii64 emulator on my wii. The app itself works, but when I click on load ROM, it always gives me the message "Error has occoured." Any help guys? Yeah basically boot the .dol using "loadmii" you can download it via the Homebrew Browser. Though the games play at a very slow rate its not even worth it.by ICEing - Homebrew Applications
Yea I didnt install it due to the risk involved with cIOS. Thanks for the help though I guess its useful for anyone with the same questionby ICEing - Homebrew General
Also Im at the menu for installng the cIOS and it states "Select IOS version to use for installation" Which IOS do I use?by ICEing - Homebrew General
Ahh sorry one final question. What exactly do these things do (the ones in bold) This is basically Starfall for versions 4.0 and 4.1. The system menu hacks are: Region free (including Wii channels and SD Card menu channels) Skipping the disk update check Removal of the health check Booting recovery menu by pressing Y on a Nintendo Gamecube controller in port 1 Removalby ICEing - Homebrew General
QuoteWaxyPumpkin72...Its an app.....Run it through the HBC..... Edit: if you don't understand, take the boot.dol file, make a folder in your apps folder called "cios installer", or whatever you want to name it. Put the boot.dol inside of it, and then launch the HBC. Yea I dont do his often. Usually I get my stuff on HBB. But thanks Ima try itby ICEing - Homebrew General
