Quotebg4545Well the "apps" folder is only for when you already have the Homebrew Channel. If you are trying to install the Homebrew Channel, the HackMii Installer's "boot.elf" file should be on your SD card and not in any folders. Then run whatever exploit you are using such as Letterbomb. I already have the Homebrew Channel, I'm just putting HackMii Installer in my apps in case I neeby NintendoBoy - Getting Started
So, I'm trying homebrew again. You might remember me from last year, asking kinda stupid questions. But, I think I got it. Anyways, here's what I want to do: I made an apps folder (didn't put it in sd card yet). I've set up some stuff and I need a li'l bit of help. Did I do this right? ---------------------------------------------------- /apps //hackmii ///bootby NintendoBoy - Getting Started

QuoteSifJarWhat colour is the power LED? If it's yellow, the Wii is still turned on, and so of course pushing the button will do nothing. Green. QuoteSifJarDid you try my suggestion of unplugging it for a few minutes and then trying again? I'll try it, thanks.by NintendoBoy - FixMii
Quotebg4545First of all, use more descriptive topic titles. Is the Power LED on? if it's not then you've got other issues. If it is, what happens when you turn on the Wii? does it turn green? What process did you go through to install the HBC? Describe everything you did. The Power LED is on, but when I click the Power button, nothing happens. QuoteSifJarSimply installing HBC cannot brick your Wii. It never has before, and almost certainly never will. Either you did something else after installing HBC (what all apps have you run? list every single app you have run), or the Wii is not actually bricked. I just clicked "Exit" after installing HBC. Also, I didn't run any apps. No apps were installed on my HBC. QuoteSifJarIf the sby NintendoBoy - FixMii

I press the power button, disc drive doesn't anything, there's a black screen. I haven't installed any apps on my HBC. Not BootMii/Priiloader either. I guess this proves that installing the Homebrew Channel bricks Wiis.by NintendoBoy - FixMii
QuoteSifJarIt has the potential to be dangerous, with the potential varying with the app. BootMii is installed by HackMii Installer, which has undergone plenty of testing, and so is "safe" (there have been no reported bricks from installing BootMii that I know, other than one or two who lost power during the wrong moment of the install ; considering the hundreds of thousands of installs, thatby NintendoBoy - Homebrew Applications
QuoteMINECRAFTER1. i used BootMiI to remove stub 249 so dont tell me u dont use bootmii to remove stub 249 2. multiple people have modded bootmii so it could use wii remotes (however it really had no point because it just registered as a homebrew app) so there for you could add wii remote support to bootmii. anyway the anwser has been found so really no point to continue posting on this Donby NintendoBoy - Homebrew General
I want to get Savegame Manager GX, Priiloader, BootMii, and more, but they make changes to the Wii's NAND. Is that bad?by NintendoBoy - Homebrew Applications
Do you have Priiloader/Preloader, BootMii, and a NAND backup? If you do, follow these steps. 1) Power on your Wii and hold the RESET button for a few seconds. 2) On Priiloader, Select BootMii. 3) On BootMii, click the settings icon, then the icon with the green arrow. 4) Wait until it's finished. 5) Go back, and click the Wii icon. 6) You should be on the Wii Menu.by NintendoBoy - FixMii
