Okay very well, I beleve that I owe you a big thanks. Now I'm going to order an Infectus and then after the process I'm reporting back to tell you how it went. Is there anything else I need to check or pay attention to?by Suryoyo - FixMii
Quotejbc007If you updated the bricked wii to 4.2, it has boot2 v4 (the latest version) otherwise it probably has v2 or v3 (wiis shiped with boot2 v4 are newer and can't accept a Bootmii installation as boot2, so I hope that this is not the case or else you won't be able fix it). How old is the bricked wii? The new boot1 that prevents Bootmii from being installed was released sometimby Suryoyo - FixMii
Um.. please could you explain how I can check if the mentioned above matches? does it have anything to do with the system menu verson? btw i just did a NAND backup on my friends Wii, does the bad blocks matter?by Suryoyo - FixMii
Quotejbc007A working NAND dump from the bricked wii would make things easier, but it is not absolutely necessary. If the boot2 blocks from another wii that has Bootmii installed are flashed to the bricked wii, Bootmii will run and can dump the keys from the bricked wii. With these keys, Betwiin can be used to convert a NAND dump from another wii to work on the bricked wii. Finally, flashing thby Suryoyo - FixMii
By NAND programmer you mean like Infectus right? but wouldn't you need a NAND dump to flash it properly or is it optional?by Suryoyo - FixMii
Sure, test Savemiifrii, SaveMii Dongle or bootmii if you had it installed. BUT be sure that it's a black screen and NOT a blank screen becuase if it's a blank screen and the TV does barely react I guess you're wii can't be restored unless you've got a nand flasher. :) Btw do you have a modchip installed, if you have you gain another option which is to use an autobootby Suryoyo - FixMii
Nope I haven't Bootmii installed nor have I backed up the NAND =(by Suryoyo - FixMii
Could you name some NAND programmers? so I at least know what I should look for.. (btw aren't Infectus a NAND programmer?) I have already soldered wii-key onto the motherboard, should I try to remove it before i send it or should I immadietly send it to a store becuase of the vioded warrinty?by Suryoyo - FixMii
Warez fail When I start my Wii the TV-screen is blank! It DOES react but only a splitsecond. There isn't anything wrong with my cables/TV becuase I've tested others. I don't see anything at all! no video/audio output lite the wii doesn't even exist. I also noticed that I can turn on my wii with my wiimote but it does not connect to the wii(can't even turn it off). Iby Suryoyo - FixMii
