What version do you have? It will work on everything up to Oct. 23rd.by icefire - Homebrew General
Or it is done in some other way, or it isn't done at all, or it is done on the wii side but there is no server-side updates yet, or etc...by icefire - Homebrew General
It is not confirmed to work via Wiiconnect24 (if it even exits), and it could be different. So turning off WiiConnect24 COULD block the hypothetical updates, but it also could not block them.by icefire - Homebrew General
I meant that it is *possible* that there could be code that could make it happen. So it could *possibly* happen, we do not know yet.by icefire - Homebrew General
Wii do not know if there is code to auto-update. But there very well could be. Future game discs might, but there is Starfall/GekcoOS/etc for that.by icefire - Homebrew General
You can keep WC24 on and play online games if you are on <3.4 (anything besides this new update).by icefire - Homebrew General
Oh, I didn't even know what that did :|. I was just remembering what I read somewhere :|.by icefire - Homebrew General
There is a way, but first you need to find a copy of the IOS16 WAD that is not signing-bug-patched. Then install it with the WAD Manager (it is signed by nintendo so it works), and then load a copy of wad manager that runs off of IOS16. Then use that wad manager to install the other IOSs. At least I think that is how you do it :).by icefire - Homebrew General
Thanks a lot :). The helpfullness of everyone here is what I like about wii homebrew :).by icefire - Coding
Try a different card. Often some just dont work.by icefire - Homebrew General
Could you explain? I'm new to C and Wii programming so i could use some newbie level help :).. I could not understand what it means by (0x001<<16) in wpad.h thanks, icefireby icefire - Coding
Here is my code: if( (buttonsHeld & WPAD_BUTTON_PLUS) || (buttonsHeld & WPAD_CLASSIC_BUTTON_PLUS) || (buttonsHeld & WPAD_GUITAR_HERO_3_BUTTON_PLUS) ) { printf("%d\n", ++i); WPAD_Rumble(WPAD_CHAN_0, 1); } As is obvious, buttonsHeld is the return value of WPAD_ButtonsHeld(0); It works with the Wiimote (I don't have a classic controller to test), but not with the Guitar.by icefire - Coding
Only the HBC and a few specific other apps can read SDHC, but not the nintendo-based part of the wii.by icefire - Homebrew General
if any channel installation (HBC, downgrading sysmenu, bootmii, patchmii, etc) goes wrong it could brick the wii....by icefire - Homebrew General
Read the HackMii post. Really. Not even the whole thing. Just the first part. And it will tell you.by icefire - Homebrew General
As I said before :), is a great hosting site!by icefire - Homebrew General
Well it fixed itself! I pushed really hard and then something went click and it works!!! Thanks for all the help!by icefire - Homebrew General
Well, those ideas are better anyway :P.by icefire - Homebrew General
*besides* duct tape, of course :P. I already have that, just wanted to know if there was another solution.by icefire - Homebrew General
I used to get this too! but it went away eventually. I have no drivechip, just the HBC and DVDx installed :).by icefire - FixMii
:( My sd cards will not stay in :(. Any solution? I am way out of warrenty, and i dont want to open up my wii. But I did manage to install Starfall/downgrade to 3.2 today! Starfall is my favorite wii app right now :D! Also, when I run any wii shop or Mii Channel installer, it freeses either after saying "PatchMii by bushing" (all but tona's) or after downloading the IOS (tona's).by icefire - Homebrew General
Is the read-only tab set on the card?by icefire - The Junkyard
Autoupdating is possible on 3.4 or higher. Nothing else. No autoupdates have happened yet.by icefire - Homebrew General
whodares: What about the method I recommended (via PM)?by icefire - Homebrew General
QuotewhodaresI've got it! Perfect test ground... In the same way you can copy channels to the SD card, we could make a bogus content.bin that just contained the banner file. It would only test the smaller icon banner, but it's a start... If it crashes the Wii, the SD card can be removed, and no harm done (as I'm pretty sure it won't bother to cache them on the NAND)by icefire - Homebrew General
