This is really, really cool. Even more so that you did it in Lua. Great work!by Arikado - Homebrew Applications
Thanks fixed the link. And yes the lightning talk was pretty cool, it should also be available for download in the first link.by Arikado - Offtopic

QuoteSifJarIf you updated officially to 4.2 (i.e. via wifi or disc, not a "safe" updater), BootMii/boot2 will NOT be removed by the update to 4.3, as you already have boot2v4 from that update. Thats what I thought too but some guy on IRC told me it still removed it for him a month ago even though he did an official update to 4.2. To be honest, I don't know what to believe; But it wouldn'by Arikado - Getting Started

If you're on the latest HBC (1.0.8) it wont be removed when you update to 4.3. BootMii boot2 however will be removed but you can reinstall it by running the hackmii installer via your HBC (so no need for exploits).by Arikado - Getting Started
n00b mods: The topic may be old but those plugins are almost impossible to find. Posting download locations for them is always a good thing. I personally wasn't even aware a version of the DOL Loader plugin that existed for the newer IDA Pro 5.x versions. Not an excuse to close a topic despite how you feel about the posters second paragraph. To the original poster: Always appreciate havinby Arikado - Software

I was thinking about this myself yesterday and how sweet it would be if someone did. I wish I had a Kinect hehe.by Arikado - Ideas, requests
Now it loads and runs fine. It seems really impressive, but it also seems to crash and give me a code dump seemingly randomly. I've been unable to play it all the way through yet. If you send me the elf I can try and get some debug information sent your way if you want.by Arikado - Homebrew Applications
I did that. And no, any directory does not work. Neither does a directory named prophecy , TheProphecy_Wii , or any other logical directory name I can think of. Furthermore, I can not find any documentation anywhere telling me what the name should be.by Arikado - Homebrew Applications
I cant get it to work. It just keeps sending me back to HBC. I presume the problem is that the .zip download just contains pieces for me to shove into an app directory I need to make and I can not guess the correct name of the directory.by Arikado - Homebrew Applications
Do to a recent influx of spam generated by a single person under multiple accounts using fake e-mail addresses and due to some behind-the-scenes server maintenance I'm temporarily requiring newly registering forum members to activate their accounts via e-mail before they can post. For anyone wondering I ended up completely redesigning the port. With the help of DarkNation I ported over ALLEGRO to the wii ( ) and using the port of ALLEGRO I've managed to get the emulator working in some respects. It begins basic CPU emulation but fails as I need to do a lot of endianness swapping to the ROM for it be read. QuotescanffIf you're just after the binaries then use fabi's site - Actually Im using my DOP-Mii library I released two days ago for USB support so I doubt fabi's site still compiles binaries correctly (if at all).by Arikado - Homebrew Applications
Up until about two hours before your posted here it depended on IOS 202 for USB support. Now it is IOS independent in the SVN.by Arikado - Homebrew Applications
Looking at the iPhone port of Android I was thinking about this too the other day lol. There's really no reason why a port of Android to the Wii wouldn't be possible other than that it may be impossible to find someone capable of doing it.by Arikado - Ideas, requests

There will probably be multiple pricing options. For example, you could buy the PCB for a relatively cheap amount (probably $5) and buy the components separately to be put together yourself or you could buy a constructed version for yourself. Every truly open piece of hardware I've ever seen does something like this. Fwiw though, I would assume the finished product all manufactured and whatnby Arikado - Offtopic
bushing and pytey are raising funds to kickstart a revolutionary new project: A completely open device which will allow hackers to reverse engineer USB devices. Im flattered if you think my emulator runs well enough to be considered a threat to Nintendo's handheld console. At best, it's only a threat to flashcart manufacturers as it runs most homebrew software almost perfectly but literally every game plays with at least a little lag. Read my response to this question here: And regarding cIOS the change in policy was made for this reason: There is no longer a legitimate need for them. With IOS 58 and AHBPROT from the latest version of the HBC every legitimate purpose they provided (USB 2.0 support and savegame movement in particular) can be accomplished without their use. People may still want to mess around cIOS and IOby Arikado - Offtopic

I changed the directories because I was repeatedly e-mailed about how there seems to be a growing trend in homebrew where people dont want their root directory cluttered with datafiles. Anyways, I hope its all working good for you. I seem to recall that the latest build of SDL puts some static in the sound but that could probably be fixed the same way you fixed it in wolfenstein 3d (by using uby Arikado - Homebrew Applications
Daid: Thats not necessarily the case. I believe what he did was make his project, change main.cpp, and then make his project again causing only main.cpp to be compiled again because it was changed. I can back my theory up by pointing out that his other files have errors in the linking stage thus they must have passed the compiling stage previous to him posting the log here. Still though, I agreby Arikado - Coding
