Recently, my Wii's disc drive is starting to not function. One day, when backing up the system with BootMii, I press eject to skip verification (Okay, maybe I shouldn't have), only for Mario Kart to eject. I try to put the disc back in, it won't. It works fine the next day. Today, I eject Mario Kart and try and put in Mario Galaxy, but the disc gets stuck again. My dad takes a lookby boot.elf - Hardware
I'm just wondering, which IOS should I use for installers made with Crazy Installer? It gives me a choice, but I don't know which one I should use. I know the forwarder installers for the three emulators as well as for WiiMC use 58. Should I use IOS58, or should I use a different one? I'm on 4.3, so I have IOS58, and I don't have any cIOS.by boot.elf - Homebrew General
I want to make a forwarder channel, but CustomizeMii only takes ELF files for forwarders, and I could use a DOL to ELF converter in case I come across a DOL I want for forwarding. The only problem is that I can't seem to find such a converter, I can only find ELF to DOL. UPDATE: Never mind, I realize CustomizeMii can make DOL forwarders now.by boot.elf - Homebrew General
**If this is wrong forum, please move** I know you can easily convert ELF files to DOL files, but is it possible to convert DOL to ELF? I know I could just rename the extension, but I want to know if there is a way I know I can trust. If I can't, no big deal. I'm just curious.by boot.elf - Homebrew General
Okay. I'll make wads when I get the chance, I'll figure it out.by boot.elf - Homebrew Applications
There are dol/elf installers of channels for WiiMC, Snes9xGx, FCE Ultra and VBA GX. Are there any other homebrew apps with their own channel than can be installed via an app like those four? I'm just wondering, I don't worry if I can't. Please note I do NOT mean WADs, and I do have System Menu 4.3 with IOS58. My bad if this is the wrong place to put this. Also, I know how to makby boot.elf - Homebrew Applications
The channel loads the .dol file for the homebrew app, so you actually need to put the VBA GX .dol/elf in apps/vbagx/ to load the channel properly.by boot.elf - Homebrew Applications
Okay, thanks. Knowing this, I might copy the BootMii folder to an empty card for backup. This is all I needed to know. Thanks. Although, I might not need an extra SD boot disk if the backup is less than 800 MB.by boot.elf - BootMii Beta
If I have an SD card in the Wii and BootMii is running from it, is it okay to take the SD out when it is running? What happens if you do that? I would like to know for future reference, in case I want to make a backup but have to use a separate card.by boot.elf - BootMii Beta
Thanks. Wish the Wii would not display incorrect banners like that to stop banner bricks. And I just made a meta XML with what I could do. I didn't say wad!by boot.elf - Homebrew General
I'm just wondering, if you launch an app with a wrong size icon.png, what happens? Do you get an exception dsi occurred message? I'm just curious. And what happens if there is no meta XML in the folder? I'm trying to create a HackMii Installer folder so I can launch it from SD (just trying stuff out), but don't have a meta file that looks good. I will create an icon png thoughby boot.elf - Homebrew General
Please, I'm joking.by boot.elf - Homebrew General
Dang. Guess I'll have to work with what I got. Back to the hacking board for me. I didn't say wad!by boot.elf - Homebrew General
Please note I do NOT mean wads. I mean homebrew apps that are capable of installing channels. I found some in the HBB (WiiMC, Visual boy Advance GX, FCE Ultra GX), but want more if I can get my hands on them. I looked onside the folder of the Visual boy installer and all i found were I believe a boot.dol or elf, icon.png and meta.XML. I'm happy I got these forwarder channels but would stillby boot.elf - Homebrew General
