No HBB and HBC are NOT the same, HBC = Homebrew Channel, which is installed as a channel on your Wii which allows you to run homebrew. HBB = Homebrew Browser, which is a homebrew application that can run inside the Homebrew Channel. Yes everything ran is installed on the SD card, but once you use bannerbomb to install HBC with the Hackmii Installer, you won't need bannerbomb anymore.by Kage52124 - Getting Started
Wrong place for this, and no there is no web browser yet, but several people are working on one.by Kage52124 - Getting Started
which file is there? Bootmii should be in the root of your SD card too (like as you said, it should be) as a folder with 3 files inside of it. Are they there?by Kage52124 - Getting Started
Wiimotes don't work in Bootmii, use the power and reset buttons on your Wii. Logitech wireless is fine.by Kage52124 - Getting Started
I'm not saying I doubt Bushing's post on Hackmii about warranty voiding, but it was one case upon who knows how many. Think of it this way, request an invoice before work is done, that way you can always say, "I don't want to pay that, please send it back." I think it'd be a great way to see if they are indeed charging extra for all this stuff. Thoughts?by Kage52124 - Getting Started

I'd trust the readme of the specific application before I would trust any forum honestly... It's not there, so I don't know what to tell ya. Walk around and level up first? :-Pby Kage52124 - Getting Started
I thought that was going to happen. I'm still afraid that it won't let you redownload it either :-(.by Kage52124 - Getting Started
I know SDHC incompatibility is most likely, but out of curiosity, what are the chances that his SD card is corrupted?by Kage52124 - Getting Started
After doing some hunting around, I found some testimony that it was related to simply having HBC installed, but the source is iffy at best. Good luck though!by Kage52124 - Getting Started
Yeah I'd take a little time and just practice playing around with using My Computer and looking around for a while. It's beyond the scope of this forum to teach basic computing assistance, and honestly it's just too hard to do here. So go play on your computer, just don't delete anything and you should learn a lot about how a computer operating system is structured. In reby Kage52124 - Getting Started
Lol, the one case where you have a near legitimate reason to hunt one of those down right? I'm pretty sure (based upon what I learned from the 25c3 Wii Fail presentation I just watched on YouTube) that even when you delete it off your Wii, it still keeps the ticket, which is basically your 'legal right' to access the file. So I think you're right in that you could delete theby Kage52124 - Getting Started
Can you load anything else with bannerbomb, like LoadMii or another homebrew application?by Kage52124 - Getting Started
I think Arikado was a little ticked at the amount of fail in just 3 sentences. Making a statement?by Kage52124 - Getting Started
That's a very specific question but I'm pretty sure that means that your Wii doesn't have IOS 53 at all, so installing one IOS shouldn't be a problem. Better to install just this one IOS than going through the Disk Channel and forcing a system-wide update. Anyone else care to verify this? I'm pretty sure this is part of the point of having GeckoOS to begin with.by Kage52124 - Getting Started
I'd just not update, use GeckoOS to get around the update requirement.by Kage52124 - Getting Started
Sounds like you don't have bannerbomb set up right...I'd try taking another swing at deleting your 'private' folder and then using winrar (or your OS) to copy it over again. EDIT: No I don't believe you using your printer to connect your SD to your computer would have any affect on it.by Kage52124 - Getting Started
Not only that, but you could use SNES9x for the PC too, doesn't have to be ZSNES. I will admit though that ZSNES was my favorite homebrew creation ever, it ran great and just had a good feel to it. It's too bad that we can't yet input PAR or GG codes directly into the Emulator Trio, it would save the step of going to the computer and plugging them in the PC counterparts or finby Kage52124 - Homebrew Applications
Basically you're right. The problem with getting MAME to run on a Wii is the sheer volume of different games it can emulate. The drivers I believe are basically installed one-by-one, which make MAME very big in the long run, let alone the difficulty of emulation anyway. Colem works great, but I don't think many here remember ColecoVision...by Kage52124 - Homebrew Applications
That's no good. Can you try GeckoOS?by Kage52124 - Homebrew Applications
Interesting, are you on the latest version of HBB? 0.3.2? Also, the Browser isn't going to look at either boot.dol or boot.elf unless it's in a folder inside your apps folder, so the files you have in your root should be inconsequential.by Kage52124 - Homebrew Applications
You may just have to call up Nintendo.by Kage52124 - Getting Started
You don't want to downgrade at all. You're on 3.2, the best version for homebrew straight up. I wouldn't even bother updating your IOS's either, just use GeckoOS in case it asks you to update. If you need an IOS in order to run the game, it will install it for you and nothing else.by Kage52124 - Getting Started
I'll go ahead and ask. What do you mean by: Quote now on 3.2?by Kage52124 - Homebrew General
Are you getting a notification to "Boot .dol/.elf?"?by Kage52124 - Getting Started
The root of the SD card is the very first area you see once you open the SD card. For example, the root of any drive would look like this: :\ where it cannot get any simpler than that. Therefore you do not need to make a 'root' folder. With Bannerbomb, take whatever .dol or .elf you're using (Hackmii installer would be a good idea), rename it to boot.dol or boot.elf, and put itby Kage52124 - Getting Started
I'm pretty sure one of his IOS3_ is updated too high.by Kage52124 - Homebrew General
sounds like you're using the instructions for Bannerbomb. Please look here: and read it thoroughly.by Kage52124 - Getting Started
Basically stick with 3.2, get WiiSCU to update your Shop Channel if needed. It's my understanding that Wiikey wouldn't affect your upgrade if you chose to do so. If you can't run a certain game on 3.2 (e.g. Mario Part 8), just use GeckoOS to load it and it'll take good care of you.by Kage52124 - Getting Started
Yes you can use a unique version of the Twilight Hack that's compatible with 3.4 only, or you could use BaNNeRBoMB as well. Also, please make sure you actually have a question next time, it's helps us understand what your problem might be :-Pby Kage52124 - Getting Started
