QuoteAxelYou are ------ lol! Luigi: you are so close! everything is right, you just need to unzip that zip file... it should be apps folder... then in side that a homebrewbrowser FOLDER... then in side that all those files (boot.dol, meta.xml, icon.png etc)by mdbrim - Homebrew General
what size (dimensions not disk space) is the jpg? the dimensions have to be a power of 4 ie 640 x 480 will work 240 x 120 will work 20 by 60 will work 31 x 67 will not work.by mdbrim - Coding
it is in that zip... st_080805_0933.bin where did you look?by mdbrim - Homebrew General
dude, there is nothing wrong with your opinion, there are lots of people that feel that way... but you aren't gonna change things here... save yourself the time dude. relax.by mdbrim - Homebrew General
Quote@ mdbrim Take your own advice. uh, that makes no sense... i do... QuoteThe original question I asked was purely for aesthetic reasons then my advice would have fixed your problem... so sorry for trying to help.by mdbrim - Homebrew General
just update the HBC, then do an official nintendo update... you'll be good to go.by mdbrim - Homebrew General
no problem... if there is anything specific you need, let us know. Wiibrew.org should have all the stuff you need, but if you get stuck... ask away!by mdbrim - Getting Started
MRBILL, i'm assuming you read the rules when you made this topic and by "game downloads" you mean homebrew games and not official nintendo games. If you do mean official nintendo games, then pay that site your money, download that stuff, pray you have a better than 50/50 shot at not breaking your wii, and this is where we part ways... If you DO mean homebrew, welcome to the forums! wiiby mdbrim - Getting Started
OK kichoufumetsu... i was on your side until you just made a total fool of yourself. Say what you want and feel how you want about the help you get here but LEARN THE F'N RULES BEFORE YOU DO!!!! Quoteposting rulesBACKUPS AND BACKUP LOADERS will get you banned It is CLEARLY marked when you make your post that you won't discuss BACKUPS! I mean you read that yet still brought it up!by mdbrim - Getting Started
ahhh, so you'll loose all the stuff that we don't support here. fair enough, that's what i thought...by mdbrim - The Junkyard
MRBILL, what do you want to do with your new wii?by mdbrim - Getting Started
well dirtrider i wouldn't go that far, its not our place to tell him to put his stuff out of reach or other methods of disc care... if he wants to back up his games to avoid them from getting ruined (or hell, just to have the convenience of not having to swap out disks...) who are we to say he can't. He owns the wii, he owns the games, he can do what he wants. We just won't supby mdbrim - Getting Started
of course...by mdbrim - Homebrew General
no prob... if you aren't comfortable messing with the actually .ini file on the sd card you can use this: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/BootMii_Configuration_Editor to do it for you. (i have not used the above but it looks like it's pretty self explanatory)by mdbrim - Getting Started
what will you lose if you update to 4.3? EDIT: removed sarcasm.by mdbrim - The Junkyard
yep, that means it works!!! bootmii as boot2 loads so early in the sequence that the wiimotes aren't even active yet. So you can only use a GC controller or the buttons on the front of the wii. The power button scrolls thru the choices and the reset button selects it! You can edit your bootmii.ini file to autoboot to one of the two choices and set a delay before it does it. fearby mdbrim - Getting Started
yeah, i know of tons of stuff that copies DVDs and CDs... But you still didn't answer my question... you don't see a Samsung Wii game copier do you? You don't see a Panasonic XBOX360 copier do you? I know you can do it with special drives and software (and a guide always helps) but it isn't mainstream like other forms of media. Movies and audio CDs are one thing... weby mdbrim - Getting Started
update to the latest HBC version then do the official update. Clean, simple, easy.by mdbrim - Getting Started
or you can just upgrade to 4.3 and not worry about it... why do all this crazy stuff (especially if you are just a normal homebrew user)... just update to newest HBC... then update to 4.3by mdbrim - Getting Started
dude, nobody said it was illegal... they said we can't help you with that. you are more then welcome to back archive copies of your games... we aren't going to stop you, we just can't help you get your wii up and running to PLAY said back up games because the info we would give is the same steps that would help someone illegally download and play copied games they didn't oby mdbrim - Getting Started
lol that's not what he meant Cypri...by mdbrim - Coding
stop pressing Launch BootMii... What are you trying to do? you keep saying you want to run homebrew apps and you keep pressing launch bootmii... do you know bootmii is for? why do you keep pushing it? Go to http://wiibrew.org/wiki/List_of_homebrew_applications and browse all those apps. Find some you like, and install them the same way you did the Homebrew Browser... sd:/apps/Folderby mdbrim - Homebrew General
yep that's the one! you can start with the homebrew browser if you want and then you can browse apps from that and not have to use the computer.by mdbrim - Homebrew General
saying you followed the instructions doesn't really help us help you. what did you do exactly?by mdbrim - Homebrew Applications
SHOULDN'T USE!! :Dby mdbrim - Homebrew General
not as useful as bootmii/boot2 if you don't know what it is, don't mess with it. you can read up on bootmii in a couple of places. It basically allows you to backup your NAND so that if anything were to go wrong with your wii (brick it) you can restore the NAND. However, you can only restore a bricked wii if bootmii was installed on boot2 (which would have been an option when youby mdbrim - Getting Started
Then you need this: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/WiiMC Download that, unzip it and put that apps folder on the root of your SD card. Now when you go back to the Homebrew channel, you will see WiiMC player. launch that and then you can do your thing! The homebrew channel is just a facilitator to launch apps. You can download a bunch more from wiibrew.org and put them in that apps folderby mdbrim - Getting Started
