QuoteArikadoI am currently seeking an active moderator or respected member of the forums to replace my duties. Upon finding one I shall relinquish myself of Administrator status. Quotedirtrider73068No problem for me, but don't leave what about pointing a second admin to help running the forum or find somebody to help when its needed.by Arikado - Old Announcements
On August 25th my inbox started blowing up with users e-mailing me that no one could post on the forums. Months prior to this the forum had also begun having a handful of issues with it's SMTP (mail) functionality. I'm pleased to announce that I've finally fixed both of these issues by spending several hours playing with the forum software. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenienby Arikado - Old Announcements
Honestly, it's really just there to deter people from posting whom consider "softmods" or "softmodding" to be a term which encapsulates the exploitation of a Wii vulnerability through ultimately enabling piracy. If you're intelligent enough to understand the use of the term literally, then you're probably not going to use it in favor of a more specific vocabulary anyways.by Arikado - Offtopic
Mail is broken too and giving the same error (I've temporarily disabled e-mail authentication requirements). There seems to be nothing I can do with the administration options to fix this so I'll be trying to get in touch either mha or marcan very soon.by Arikado - Feedback & Support
The issues aren't gone. The admin of the page just chose to disable the link that leads to them. Issues can still be accessed at /issues/list/ after the project URL. For example, . You should be aware however that the GX emulators are no longer being actively developed so unless you submit a patch or your problem is an incredibly simple one you're unlikely to receive any response.by Arikado - Homebrew Applications

To Math's credit he used to contribute writing code for the PSP M33 custom firmware and he did find some interesting leads in the PS3's hypervisor code (particularly lv1if I remember correctly). There aren't very many people who can do this. However, as far as I'm aware, he's never found a useful bug. This doesn't make him a liar or incompetent; when other people shaby Arikado - Offtopic
Apps compiled under older revisions of libogc may not work with later hardware revisions of Nintendo's nunchuk or 3rd party versions of it. In layman's terms: You have a newer nunchuk or you're using a third party nunchuk. At the time Helium Boy and Cherophll were released those hardware devices were not supported by the software tools used to build these apps. Other apps with wby Arikado - Homebrew Applications
It was my understanding that you can run Linux on every firmware revision on every hardware revision of the PS3 ( ) so I'm not sure what fail0verflow would even be needed for at this point? I wouldn't take math's teasing too seriously. Most of that stuff isn't discovered by him and simply won't be released by the people who made it. This is awesome. Extremely incredible work! Any chance you might extend the app to include support for dsibrew and 3dbrew one day?by Arikado - Offtopic
fail0verflow hasn't gone anywhere. Their goals (basically running Linux on every hardware revision of every PS3) have been met though. Since fail0verflow is just the name they go under as a group it's likely that they may make more releases as a group together one day (but perhaps not for the PS3). As individuals, they've all been very busy on various things from creating an open sby Arikado - Offtopic
Regarding the Wii U: Since it's backwards compatible with the Wii it's highly likely we'll have Wii mode homebrew from day one of it's release. I can almost guarantee you won't be able to install the homebrew channel, but exploiting savegames and running unsigned code shouldn't be a problem though. Granted, this is practically useless but I guess it's worth mentby Arikado - Offtopic
Give me a PM or hit me up on IRC sometime. I've been doing commercial Android development since January. It looks like it would be a fun project :-) ( And we can make dsibrew and 3dbrew apps ;p ) PS: You can get screenshots using the DDMS perspective in Eclipse. I only touched app inventor once but I believe you can use it to take screenshots as well.by Arikado - Offtopic

tpw_rules is 13 and probably better than myself and most other people in some areas. This kid writes Z80 assembly, Python, linux scripts, and C/C++ like nobody else can. Our prboom port wont let you do that but to be honest it's really not that hard to add in.by Arikado - Ideas, requests
It's possible if you cut out OpenGL and all network support. IMHO, you'd be better off just contributing to the current prboom port.by Arikado - Ideas, requests
You can try directly messing with the source code. It's basically our bad video initialization code; It needs to be completely rewritten (yeah, yeah, I'm working on it). A quick fix would be letting 0,0 render at the center instead of the top left but I'm not sure if I want to give all of the users of libwiisprite coordinate headaches ;)by Arikado - Coding

Add a feature request there. I'm a bit too busy with school right now so it might take me a while to get around to it.by Arikado - Ideas, requests
The two main versions are Izhido's build (Q1Rev) and the build Piko and Eluan made together (Quake GX). I don't find the documentation for the apps to be cryptic at all, but you're of course welcome to clean it up if you like. As for which is better, I couldn't tell you, they both appear to be feature complete. Try them both and use the one you like most. Then please report baby Arikado - Homebrew Applications
