Anther option is to use priiloader and hacks.ini file to use the "turn off game save protection" option. easy, reversible and you can do the actual saves from your normal wii menu rather than running a homebrew tool everytime you want to back up (or restore) a game saveby Videoman87 - Homebrew General
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a message board copying to SD app for the purpose of having your gaming records. As I understand it no one really understands how the data is saved/fully understood so therefore it would not be a good idea to make a backup/restore system (like the game saves). a 3rd possiblity is to use priiloader with hacks.ini file to turn off protected save games. Then just copy them over to your SD like any game. That should also work. Also have you tried cleaning the lense? I suspect a standard DVD lense cleaning DVD made for sloat loading might do it. I haven't tired it myself but if the DVD drive is already toasted, then might be worth a try. And yoby Videoman87 - Getting Started
