It's written in purebasic and bliztbasic. blitzbasic for the original version that seems to not be getting updated anymore and purebasic for the one listed under the first link I gave.by serialjoepsycho - Ideas, requests
Here's a link if anyone wants to look at the game It's a roguelike well hell it's been called a diablo clone as well. It's written with a purebasic compiler but theres also a version written with blitzbasic I think it'd be a great game for the wii if it's possible and it's multiplayerby serialjoepsycho - Ideas, requests

Well Visual studios is an IDE for visual basics isn't it? (Once again I'm not a programmer at all) Wiiwizard is a wii application template for Visual Studio (Express) 2008 which I guess would have visual basics 9. Now I don't know what i'm talking about but I assume that's for making programs for the wii with visual studios. How portable is vb8 to vb 9 would be the questiby serialjoepsycho - Ideas, requests
You kind of don't really need a flash emu. You might be able to develop a feature complete version for the wii browser using the wiicade api and the opera sdk. Just a thought.by serialjoepsycho - Ideas, requests
Like I said I'm mainly blowing smoke and I don't know what I'm talking about but my thoughts that visual c++ had some portability. Though of course i really could be wrong. Ideally I would guess any capable programmer familiar with programming wii homebrew that happened to check out that game and thought it was wii worthy might get with the programmers of the game to work on portinby serialjoepsycho - Ideas, requests
I think another question might be what specific language it is written in and what's the portability of that language. I'm not a programmer and I'm more or less blowing smoke but if recall some homebrew is written in c++. I think vb uses c++. Blah blah blah.by serialjoepsycho - Ideas, requests
There was a game similar to this out there with snes-esque graphics. It had sonic, mario, and a few others. I forget. Its call mushroom kindom fusion reactor. You might look inti porting that.by serialjoepsycho - Ideas, requests
has anyone considered porting MESS? 3DO is a supported system. It's not exactly open source or free software but it is copy left. You can get the source code. You can modify it so it will work on the wii.by serialjoepsycho - Ideas, requests
If anyone is going to make a browser for the wii if I'd suggest making one similar to the skyfire web browser for mobile. You get the full web experience. Either it could be developed like a service similar to skyfire or be developed in away so that one end is pu on the wii and one end (the working end0 is put on pc.by serialjoepsycho - Ideas, requests
I think its sdl and plib but it's switching to the Irrlicht engine. But yes I think it's heavily opengl. Like I said if it was possible it would be cool but really I have no clue what so ever.by serialjoepsycho - Ideas, requests
I think this would make a nice wiibrew game if its possible.by serialjoepsycho - Ideas, requests
I think I put this in the wrong forum sorryby serialjoepsycho - The Junkyard
Hows about a port of super tux cart? I don't know to what extent wii homebrew is capable I just thought that might be a fun game to play on the wii.by serialjoepsycho - The Junkyard
