QuotescanffI think the first step would be a basic html 4.1 web browser. In various areas of the forum this has been talked about but never done. Personally I'd just love to get going on this but I'm already loaded with the current projects I'm doing. I guess if anyone else is interested we could set up a project for a homebrew web browser. I might be interested in helpingby jsmaster - Ideas, requests
You wouldn't need to use bannerbomb, as the Homebrew Channel stays through the update. You can go ahead and update if you really want to (personally, I wouldn't, but you can still use most homebrew with 4.0)by jsmaster - Homebrew General
That would just be a recompile with the latest libOGC, it would take seconds to do.by jsmaster - Ideas, requests
QuoteTantricYes, someone please write tutorial(s) for libwiigui :) I might write one if I find the time to. EDIT: I started a tutorial here. I'll add more to it tomorrow.by jsmaster - Coding
Quoteulti@Nicholas_Roge: As jsmaster said, "GX" refers to the graphics library. The functions that start with GX_ control the 3d hardware and let you do things like display polygons. Normally this is what you want to use when you're making a game because the 3d hardware is specifically designed to do these kind of things, and is very fast. However, that's not the only way to getby jsmaster - Coding
QuotePhoenixTankThe Wii doesn't have the appropriate laser to read a CD, if I remember right. The Wii doesn't have the ability to read CDs, so you remember correctly ;-) QuoteYST1982Or alternitavely an app that just moves the lens to the location of where the bristles are on the cd... GX is the "low-level" graphics library for the wii, and is included is libOGC. AFAIK, it is similar to openGL, but I have never used it before, so I am not 100% sure.by jsmaster - Coding
QuoteArikadoQuotehenke37I wouldn't say that libwiigui is for advanced developers. If i had to rank the c++ libraries, I would say that libwiisprite is for the advanced people. But I would rather not rank them against each other, they are not designed to do the same job, and as such, it's not going to make much sense to compare them with each other. I have to disagree. Thanks for the help. It's nice to see that someone is following my project! Well I know it's not running out of memory, or else the netstate would be -10, not -40 (as I got -40 from debugging). It's just acting very strangely, as slight modifications make it work more, but not completely (eg, I was able to get the welcome message from the smtp server when the buffer size was 99)by jsmaster - Coding
I think you're looking at an old revision. Check revision 8by jsmaster - Coding
Look at char *http::readfromsocket and void email::send I am getting null from readfromsocket when I shouldn't be. Using telnet, I can send an email using the same ip address and requests. Also, int http::localip gets messed up somehow.. Any help??by jsmaster - Coding
I finally got around to adding all of the images to the gui. They look great! Could you make an exit, homebrew browser, friends list, poke user, and public profile button? Here's a dol just showing the GUI (press the chat button to return to the homebrew channel). wiiconnect.dol . Also, JussiPik, do you have any IM accounts? It would be much easier to contact you that way than througby jsmaster - Homebrew General
Oh! That's why some of the images didn't show up! Edit: Not yours, JussiPik, the images I made from bg4545's concept. Edit: Actually, some of yours are not divisible by four. Don't worry, I fixed them myself.by jsmaster - Homebrew General
lol Thanks alot! That'll probably all I need for the time being; I'll first implement them before I try to get more graphics.by jsmaster - Homebrew General
Thanks. Could you also separate the sidebar (so I can do some fancy effects or something) and the background without the wiiconnect logo and sidebar?by jsmaster - Homebrew General
That's great! Could you separate the WiiConnect logo so I can use it in other places?by jsmaster - Homebrew General
It's an online game using Flash, so it may work in the Internet Browser, unless it requires an updated Flash.by jsmaster - Offtopic
Wow. That looks really good. I would need you to give the separate image files for that. Do you have them?by jsmaster - Homebrew General
Don't worry about the seperate images, I already made them from your image (GIMP ftw). Thank you so much! I'll be sure to put you on the credits.by jsmaster - Homebrew General

It really doesnt matter much, but you may as well just update. There's no reason not to. Also, if you are going to use bootmii, you would use the Hackmii Installer, which installs the latest Homebrew Channel.by jsmaster - Getting Started
That looks fantastic! The only thing it's missing is a notification area (which could either be a sidebar, or maybe implimented on the bottom) and at the bottom a place for the network status (like in an internet browser i.e. Connecting..., Retrieving files..., etc.).by jsmaster - Homebrew General
You might want to try redownloading devkitPro and then trying again.by jsmaster - Coding
Well, I need an area at the bottom for network status (i.e. connecting, retrieving file, etc.), a main screen with different images for each option (email, chat, news, etc.), and maybe a sidebar for notifications. I'm thinking of having a fullscreen background, and having a white rounded rectangle for the main screen, and will make everything translucent. The buttons will be highlighted whenby jsmaster - Homebrew General
I'm using libwiigui, I just need a design.by jsmaster - Homebrew General
Sure, but I really need graphics more than testers. If I try making them myself, I'm sure they'll end up real crappy.by jsmaster - Homebrew General
I'm not sure if this is where I should ask this, but could anyone give me some images for a gui? I'm developing WiiConnect, and I need graphics for the gui. In fact, I don't even have an idea for the gui, so if anyone is willing to help, I would definitely appreciate it! My email is jsmaster@tampabay&by jsmaster - Homebrew General
