If I interpreted the info correctly last time round ... The homebrew list gets effed up every now and then, causing the squares []. Teknecal has to fix it manually. Sever side issue, with us downloading copy of the brew list. I can't see a particular oddity in the list, but it could be line endings... I can't test since it updates the file on every load.by PhoenixTank - Homebrew Applications
May be a bug with libogc then... I'd think a dev would need one of those screwy nunchuks to have a hope of patching it, though =/ Curious, what happens when launching a game from Gecko OS?by PhoenixTank - Homebrew General
Tried disconnecting and reconnecting the nunchuk while in game? Also, is it an official one?by PhoenixTank - Homebrew General
Pretty much all the points have been covered by others, but a lot of the backlash from posters is due to way users in general are being accused of piracy/illegal action. A lot of us are passionate about keeping within the realms of the law, and it sucks to have work undermined and labelled as illegal. Whether offence was intended or not, the grouping of homebrew with piracy is going to hit a nerby PhoenixTank - Offtopic
If you have bootmii installed as IOS, you need a cube controller.by PhoenixTank - Homebrew General
Okay... now we are arguing semantics, and that is going to go nowhere :Pby PhoenixTank - Offtopic
QuotePyrofyrI also added the other paths, and changed ARM->PPC still, no dice. :[ Hang on... explain ^ I know I asked if you have devkitpro installed already, but you did select devkitppc from the installer, right?by PhoenixTank - Getting Started
Unfortunately that is almost as inaccurate as confusing the previous two. Javascript, Jscript and Actionscripts are just various implementations of the ECMAscript spec. Since this thread is a mess anyway, is it bad that we drift off topic? :Pby PhoenixTank - Offtopic
You were talking about Javascript (which is kinda ported, thanks to spidermonkey) and Java as if they were the same thing, is all.by PhoenixTank - Offtopic
To double check that... head to command line, enter make --version You'll probably want someone to check over your PATH environmental variable if it doesn't find it.by PhoenixTank - Getting Started
Way to necro... <.< Javascript != Java, slyfoxby PhoenixTank - Offtopic
Do you actually have devkitpro installed?by PhoenixTank - Getting Started
Not tried it, but I have the USB adapter hacked just to provide WEP encrypted wifi access for my DS. I see no reason why a Wii wouldn't be able to connect too.by PhoenixTank - Offtopic
Think he is talking about Homebrew Browser... but uh, can't make much more sense than that.by PhoenixTank - Getting Started
I'd love to see a new version of it too, lol. In fact, I needed one that was a little more robust, and didn't want to keep using my phone as a means to add/remove files. Irony is that I really needed to buy a SD reader to work on this. At least when this is done, pure laziness can prevail for me. I figured it was a good app to update/rewrite: Key application, 6+ months with no update,by PhoenixTank - Homebrew Applications
Yeap. You need to hack the drivers and utils, but you can set it up as a soft AP. I used a guide similar to this one. Edit: Found the one I used. I know the second one works, but the first may be a more user friendly version of the same thing.by PhoenixTank - Offtopic
Early stage of the guide, and may not tell you anything new yet, but you'll be up and compiling at least by the end of this version of the guide. Setting up Eclipse for Wii Development Add any suggestions/questions to the talk page please.by PhoenixTank - Coding
I think it misbehaved for me when the config folder wasn't set up right. SDHC could be a cause, though. Last compile of that .dol was a while back... the version of libogc may not have had SDHC added yet. I'm working on a branch/rewrite of SD explorer, which you may want to keep an eye out for (see my wiki user page).by PhoenixTank - Homebrew Applications
System menu version?by PhoenixTank - Homebrew Applications
Bannerbomb is equivalent to the TP hack. So, you have the Homebrew Channel installed, then? Start with the Homebrew Browser.by PhoenixTank - Getting Started
Well, I'm using XP, but I just grabbed this build from the download site I think that is Eclipse 3.4.2 & CDT 5.0.2 Depending on the bug, Arasium, it may be worth updating/clean installing Java. I may write up a guide on the long and frustrating process I had to go through to get this working.by PhoenixTank - Coding
Finally, I have Eclipse autocompleting, compiling and debugging my wii code. @Arasium The -O2 flag may be messing with your debug build, possibly. Edit: Have you set up the symbol file?by PhoenixTank - Coding
Not thinking you get the idea. Quoteicefiresomeone post that deleting any IOS is a bad idea, and that they should provide WHY they think this IOS is corruptedby PhoenixTank - Homebrew General
Yeap, just not the "bootmii" folder, if you set it up.by PhoenixTank - Getting Started
QuoteehmansgSo I think HBC 1.0.2 is not compatible with SDHC cards. Is this correct? SDHC Support is broken in 1.0.2. Has been patched and should be fixed in the next release. Edit: Yw, ehmansg =)by PhoenixTank - Getting Started
QuotecaddrSounds like crazy nonsense to me. Seconded.by PhoenixTank - The Junkyard
You did rename the hackmii installer to boot.elf, right? If so, try using Loadmii as the boot.dol.by PhoenixTank - Getting Started
