No, patching is not required.. But regarding your problem, I have no idea.by bg4545 - FixMii
Quotedmiller40So it doesn't look like i can install wad's. I can get the wad manager to load but it won't install anything. Keep getting an error -2011, which looks like IOS problems. Is this where trucha bug comes in? thanks dm WADs are not supported hereby bg4545 - Homebrew General
If the NAND backup was made before you modified IOSes and installed the Homebrew Channel then yes. If not, you have to do everything manuallyby bg4545 - BootMii Beta
Thank you :)by bg4545 - Ideas, requests
Okay, I fixed the scrolling, and also a 3rd background. Here's what these 3 look like when repeated: background-1-tiled.png background-2-tiled.png background-3-tiled.pngby bg4545 - Ideas, requests
QuotedancinninjaVery nice, it has a calming presence. Does it scroll? Do these even need to scroll? Oh yeah, I forgot to fix the trees to scroll heh.by bg4545 - Ideas, requests
QuotenotvtonightI read something about you can store/copy game in a usb hardrive and use it in the wii ? where can I find this info ? is homebrew apps set up to store in usb ? thanks If you're talking about actuall Wii games from USB, we can't help you here as it's not allowed.by bg4545 - Getting Started
Quotenotvtonightcan you install it in the usb drive ? instead of the sd card ? I ran the homebrew channel apps and it doesn't see the usb drive at all ... how do I fix this ? thanks BootMii isn't able to be run from USB but some homebrew apps are. You set a USB drive up the same as an SD card ["apps" folder, etc.] and then you can run apps from the Homebrew Channel off of a USB driveby bg4545 - Getting Started
Here's another background I'll see what else I can get done nowby bg4545 - Ideas, requests
I thought it just happened because the Korean key is present, I didn't think they intentionally looked for it and caused the error if it's found.by bg4545 - Homebrew General
Quotejbc007Well, so far they have gotten away with the 003 error on region changed Korean wiis. How do we know that they won't brick wiis with other modifications in the future? That wasn't intentional on their part. It was just a side effect.by bg4545 - Homebrew General
Just run the game with Gecko OS and if it needs an IOS it will ask you to install it; If not, it will just run the game, skipping the update.by bg4545 - Getting Started
QuoteWalangAlamQuoteWaxyPumpkin72QuoteWalangAlamare games firware version dependent? for example does nsmb works only on 4.1+? No. where are they based then? why do we need to update? is update needed to play latest games? No, the updates are not necessary, however sometimes a game needs a certain IOS that comes with the update but you could install that through Gecko OS while skipping the fullby bg4545 - Getting Started
I think they should remove the "through Nintendo" so people don't think "safe" updaters are the way to go. The update part should stay in case a new update comes any time soon, or it should show the date the update was released.by bg4545 - Offtopic
QuoteVootThanks for your information, even if it doesn't look too great. Maybe I'll give your suggestion a try. It might be worth it if it's not too expensive. I don't think it would work for you; You say you're in Russia and I'm not sure what the standard is there, but you're Wii would have to be NTSC-US regioned and you'd need a US copy of Super Smash Broby bg4545 - FixMii
Yes, you updated from the disc which is not the newest online update. It is safe to update online, but you don't have to. Do whichever you wantby bg4545 - Homebrew General
What's the point of the patches? What's the difference of using patches and using codes?by bg4545 - Homebrew Applications
QuoteWaxyPumpkin72I'm not sure how one would go about using one of these files, though. Yeah, me either..by bg4545 - Homebrew Applications
Well I know that there are many more (unofficial to codejunkies) codes that are not on new action replay discs but I suppose it's not really necessaryby bg4545 - Getting Started
Quotejbc007It may be possible to use a mod chip to autoboot and region convert an NTSC-U Brawl game. From there, Smash Stack could be used to boot the appropriate homebrew to fix the wii. However, I am not certain whether any mod chips are capable of doing this. Even if it can be done, it will not be easy. I suppose that would work, but only for US/NTSC regioned Wii's that were Korean; Noby bg4545 - FixMii
QuoteelmoreasActually you don't have to use the Gamecube, you can buy this and it allows you to play Gamecube games with cheats using a NEW Action Replay Disc on the Wii. It used to only work on the GC but now it supports the Wii. My cousin has it and I have used it at his house before and it works fine on the Wii so I know for sure it works on the Wii also. Hope this helps. Later. Elmorby bg4545 - Getting Started
The only cheats in Gecko OS I know of are .gct files.. But to make your own codes for Gecko OS you need a USBGecko. EDIT : Grammar fail :Pby bg4545 - Homebrew Applications
I don't recall Gecko OS supporting GameCube games.. You'd need an Action Replay disc and a GameCube.by bg4545 - Getting Started
Actually I believe it is impossible to fix. It can only be prevented before it happens.by bg4545 - FixMii
Maybe it only worked because the Wii was changed to 3.2U?by bg4545 - Getting Started
QuoteSifJarbg4545's looks pretty amazing. Quotescanffbg4545, that's great. Just what I was thinking. Thank you! Do you feel like making a few more :) Thanks :) Yeah I'll be able to make more either tomorrow or Tuesday. I'll look at some of the backrounds in the game and try to mimic them. EDIT: I've been a bit busier than I intended so new backgrounds will be later inby bg4545 - Ideas, requests
Well I'm no graphics artist, but I tried to make a pretty simple background for it. :P Check it out.by bg4545 - Ideas, requests
Quotejbc007If it's just an IOS issue, you could use Dop-IOS Mod to trucha patch IOS 36. Then run Dop-IOS Mod on IOS 36 and install IOS 30 version 1040. Or if your wii is newer, you may need to install a newer IOS, such as the latest version of IOS 34. After doing that, the Hackmii Installer may work. Yes I'm pretty sure that would work; But searching the forums I found this thread.by bg4545 - Getting Started
