I'm developing a new 3D game based on Metroid and now I'm searching for coders and 3D graphic designers to collaborate on it. I'm writing the core libraries and now I'm working on collision detection. Until now libraries handle model groups and nested 3D transformations automatically (for instance, arm and leg movements, coordinated with body movement). Thank you!! I Created my new page called Wiitriis. A Tetris port for Wii, but, Do I have to modify the releases page also, or this page have to be modified by some editor or administrator?by wilco2009 - Homebrew Applications
Yesterday morning (GMT+1) I published an article about my new program in Wiibrew wiki, but at 15:00 I tried to modified it to add the links for the program and sourcecode, but server showed the following message: Error 503 Service Unavailable Service Unavailable Guru Meditation: XID: 394171832 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Varnisby wilco2009 - Getting Started
There are an additional difficulty. That is we are doing nested transformations to simulate the movements. Seems nice... I'll check the source code. But my objects have 2000 or 3000 vertex and near to 1000 faces each one, could be Wii fast enough using this method?by wilco2009 - Coding
Seems nice your new game!! That you say is the idea for my first aproximation, but for the next I think I'll need a boolean grid in the space where is located the object. How do you calculate the collision with non aligned objects? Perhaps you align first the objects and then you rotate them? A cube is not exact enough. My scenario have different objects as houses, stones and so not aligned with coordinates axis. I'm starting to develop automatic bounding boxes starting from the model. The idea is to divide the space in boxes and set each box solid or not depending on contains a part of the model. Is like to draw the model in low resolution. What is the way to publish executable and sources of a homebrew application? I would like to release my new program here but I don't know what I have to do.by wilco2009 - Homebrew Applications
I'm programming a 3D game and I have made ??libraries for display models from ".obj" files and functions to handle the movement of each body section. I solved the problem of composition of movements of different body parts and I including a stage on which the characters are moved. Now I have encountered the problem of collision detection. I've heard of the bounding boxes, but that mby wilco2009 - Coding
Hi all. I'm doing a game with some mp3 samples as ambient music, but I found a problem. My code is something like that: ASND_Init(); MP3Player_Init(); buffer_size = GRRLIB_Loadfile("0.mp3", &buffer); MP3Player_PlayBuffer(buffer, buffer_size, NULL); while(1){ ...... ...... some code ....... ....... if (!MP3Player_IsPlaying()){ MP3Playby wilco2009 - Coding
The problem seems to be in the configuration of wiimote, the configuration command seems not to be correct for PCM 4 bits 3000Hz samples. I can't managed it yet but I still trying.by wilco2009 - Coding
To load ".obj" files I'm trying to use a non supported library from GRRLIB, but is necesary to modify some things. I managed to compile it but I not tested it yet. If you are interested, when everything will be working I'll inform you. EDITED: GRRLIB sample was not working but the tutorial propossed by owen is really great. You can link the png to your code and then use a GRRLIB_texImg variable to load it like: #include "example_png.h" GRRLIB_texImg img = GRRLIB_LoadTexture(example_png); Of course you makefile have to be modified (or copied from other program) to link the image. Take in account the png resolution have to be multiple of 4.by wilco2009 - Coding
Are you using GRRLIB to diplay the text? If so you can use GRRLIB_PrintfTTFW instead GRRLIB_PrintFTTF. I had the some problem with spanish characters and I solved it using unicode.by wilco2009 - Coding
In the version note of "speaker.c" you can find " added basic wiimote speaker support. playback doesn't work though - added batt". Definitely is a bug in libogc.by wilco2009 - Coding
If you read WPAD_SendStreamData in the WPAD source, you can see this function divide the buffer in blocks of 20 bytes and send them to the wiimote at intervals of 6,666ms. I think, It is not necesary to do it by your self. In the other hand, I think you can use WPAD_EncodeData to encode your samples from 8bits to 4bits. I'm not sure about that, because I can't get a correct soundby wilco2009 - Coding
