Just so I don't have to repeat myself I made this post for people who have to ask this question or variants of it. People as the name says, use the BIOS! Make sure that you always boot it through the SCPH1001.bin BIOS (don't ask for links just Google it!) as it almost always never fails and make sure that your games are in the .bin/.cue format as that can also cause problems. Go under "Current ISO" and select "Swap Disc" you dumbass n00b ;) Also welcome to the Wiibrew Forums. Enjoy your stay :)by technoman - Homebrew Applications
Dammit! How many times do I have to tell the people on this forum. Always boot any game through the SCPH1001.bin bios (don't ask for links just Google it!) Also make sure that your games are in the .bin/.cue format as those formats have less problems. From now on also check the forums because I have answered this question time and time again in the past.by technoman - Homebrew Applications
Ok I fixed it so I can load the Wii64 WAD and after doing so I have two problems/questions. HBC flipped itself upside down (literally, the menu flipped), is this normal or do I have to reinstall HBC? Also no matter which version of Wii64 I use, whether it be bg4545's recompiled version or the official version, after showing the command line it goes to a black screen and refuses to load; in tby technoman - Homebrew General
Quotebg4545We won't help you with patched IOSes. I was just stating that it doesn't matter which NAND loader you choose. I wouldn't expect you to as I know it's against the rules. All I want to know is do I use DOP-Mii, where do I get it from (it doesn't sound like something Wiibrew would carry), and what IOS should I use/are available? BTW it seems like whatever thisby technoman - Homebrew General
What do I use for patched IOS, from browsing around these forums it seems like this DOP-Mii thing does that but what IOS do I use? Also his guide didn't say anything about using the .dol or .elf part in CustomizeMii or WADder, could that also cause a problem?by technoman - Homebrew General
Quotebg4545You need a WAD installer but we can't help you with that here. Do I need brick protection (something like priiloader as I am on system menu 4.3)? Also could it brick my Wii? I really don't want to use the cIOS or other pirate stuff. EDIT: I tried to install my custom channel WAD and it said something like ticket error (-2011). Luckily I didn't brick but priiloader dby technoman - Homebrew General
Before people start jumping all over me about my WAD, I just want to clarify that I used SifJar's guide http://www.wiibannerguide.tk/ to create a simple channel down to the letter. Anyway, I'm pretty sure that I have created a successful WAD Wii64 channel forwarder. The question that I have is now that I have created the WAD how do I use it to turn it into a channel forwarder that I canby technoman - Homebrew General
QuoteyskyskQuoteowenI think that if it had support for 3d tvs a black hole would develop in our space time continum and kill us all. Either that, or I'd start to think I was the Terminator. Too bad that would have been cool. Anyway I tested it and there seem to be no problems so far.by technoman - Homebrew Applications
Quotebg4545QuotetechnomanThe developers took a shit and found that their brains went down the crapper with it. No need to insult the hard-working devs that bring you these emulators. They are still (AFAICT) working on Wii64 in the background as well as PS364. Sorry. It just seems that the stuff that they put out isn't revised enough and doesn't work too well. No posts? C'mon people I really need to know.by technoman - Homebrew Applications
I was wondering about this for nostalgic and authenticity reasons but is it possible to boot into the gba bios or gbc bios when you start a game from the respective systems? I made the dump from my DS with No$GBA's built in dumper and made another backup with the GBA that I hardwired into a 2-way USB cord and game dumper.by technoman - Homebrew Applications
QuotePetMetroidAll us homebrewers will be looking forward to it, just as much as a new release of Wii64. WTF happened to that anyway? The developers took a shit and found that their brains went down the crapper with it. Just use bg4545's version as it all-around works better forum.wiibrew.org.by technoman - Ideas, requests

I have to ask for two things: a link to the Wiirutual boy wiibrew page (I couldn't find it) and an explanation of what it does. Is it a Virtual Boy emulator and can you use the red-and-blue paper 3D glasses? Also does it have support for 3D TVs?by technoman - Homebrew Applications
The PSO hack is long and ridiculously complicated (you need like 10 pieces of software!); I looked into it so I know. I was pretty much wondering the same thing. Also is there a game exploit that would work with a USB Gecko or something like the Bannerbomb hack for Wii with a USB Gecko?by technoman - Offtopic
Use the sony bios (just don't ask for links!). It works everytime and doesn't crash. Also if you are using a USB, try bg4545's recompile that works with USB forum.wiibrew.org.by technoman - Homebrew Applications
With all of the new blu-rays coming out I was wondering if we could add blu-ray support for WiiMC or just a blu-ray app?by technoman - Ideas, requests
QuoteSifJarDefragging won't damage any of your files unless you use a terrible defrag utility. I use the one built into Windows personally and it works just fine for me. But don't talk about downloading ROMs, I thought you'd been here long enough to know that... I used the built-in windows defrag and sorry about the download comment. So now to defrag my pc, thanks SifJar!by technoman - Offtopic
My computer is too cluttered and needs a disk defrag. I was wondering if it's safe to defrag my computer with the roms and other emulators on it? I really don't feel like re-downloading 2000 roms after the defrag messed them up.by technoman - Offtopic

thank you but i want the background to be this unfortunately the image gets cut off. if i use the ThemeHBC to get the theme.xml would that work?by technoman - Testing Corner
I am not sure if the original NES zapper had force feedback. Anyway I was wondering if we could implement an option to allow force feedback (vibration) when people use the wiimote and gamecube? I figured it would be more realistic when playing Duck Hunt.by technoman - Homebrew Applications
If softmodded means HBC installed then I can help you. In the future do not post like that as it will most likely be misinterpreted as either modchipped or having something to do with warez or wads or any other pirated materials. There is a known bug in HBC 1.0.7 where a line in the meta.xml reads no_ios_reload and if your wii is not connected to the internet it will crash with this line leftby technoman - Homebrew Applications
Currently I have just partially finished creating my own Deadpool theme (first theme ever, w00t!) for the Homebrew Channel. I am missing only the meta.xml and the theme.xml (located in the theme.zip). I don't do any of that stuff so I basically wasted time making a bootmii nand dump. I did it cuz i have a couple of apps I want to test. Is there anyplace in this forum where i can put my work up to test? I'm not ready to release it yet. btw ty SifJar :)by technoman - BootMii Beta
You just confused me horribly. All I want to know is can priiloader use the backup I made with Bootmii or do I have to make another and does priiloader function as Bootmii/boot2? Alsp how do I install priiloader? Does it use a game exploit?by technoman - BootMii Beta
