I am already on 4.0, however after seeing how many pages the SD menu takes up, I thought it would be interesting to see if the menu itself could handle several more in the main section as well. I suppose many issues could come up as a result of that. It could be accomplished with Preloader hacks I'm assuming. IDA would just be used to find out what offsets are needing a change.by WB3000 - Offtopic
I had started looking into the latest menu using IDA, in hopes that I could find some easy way to increase the number of channel pages from the current 4 to a slightly larger number. I'm afraid that my IDA skills are not that good yet, and I've had a difficult time finding anything regarding the page number (some sort of maximum constant or something, idk). Oddly, you CAN get the Internet Channel off NUS. Using NUS Downloader, enter the channel you want, and then check the decrypt box. This will download and decrypt the contents. From there, you probably have to use a U8 archive extraction utility, etc, and then follow that up with editing the contents with a hex editor. You will need a key.bin to decrypt contents, place it with the NUSD executabby WB3000 - Software
With menu 4.0 in IDA, the SEL Loader plugin shows 2 'FATAL ERROR's right away, and doesn't continue. Is there a newer version of the plugin, the current link you have above is also broken. :(by WB3000 - Software
The usage of it? As I touched on in the first post, you could distribute homebrew that boots from the System Menu, and is able to in turn read files off the same disc. It would be ideal for a single contained disc for emulators, for example.by WB3000 - Homebrew General
I already do (3.2U). The alternate format of the Wii discs is not compatible with most DVD reading programs, however, there's a Wii disk format library (libwod) which would add support. Either most programs will need to add support for WODs, or a special way of having both a Wii partition and a standard ISO 9660 on one disc will be needed.by WB3000 - Homebrew General
I was fiddling around with the ISO template offered at HackMii, and have been trying to get a emulator and the files it reads to be on the same disc. But due to the Wii disc format, it seems most emulators are not able to retrieve the file listing from the disc. Is there any way to have both a System Menu compatible disc, and a disc that can have at least a partition of data visible to the prograby WB3000 - Homebrew General
