1. When I power down / reset button my Wii due to an app freezing (mainly Mplayer); HBC says I have version 1.0.1 and have to download 1.0.3 again... Ive done this like 10 times in the past week... and when I say NO dont update, the version IS 1.0.1 and not the 1.0.3 that Ive downloaded 2. Also HBC isnt refreshing when swap SD cards, I have to restart HBC by going to the Wii menu to get HBCby MiniMii - Getting Started
Are you using the most current version of mplayer ? if you are then its just the decoder not being able to handle the graphical content of whats on screen.by MiniMii - Homebrew Applications
I've never had a problem running Mplayer from my SDHC card. From what you both have written it seems to be a problem stemming from Bootmiiby MiniMii - Homebrew Applications
1. how are you interfacing with your computer ? ie. card reader ? digital camera ? 2. What is the Manufacturer and size of your card ? 3. What menu are you running? 4. What color is the sky... wait... never mind that question... :)by MiniMii - Getting Started
agreed, if you dont know how to do the coding then stop complaining. Cursing at the people who have taken the time to do what you cant do isnt going to make them work faster, well at least if it were me...by MiniMii - Getting Started
Any game you have bought you can always redownload from the Shop channel. The powersaves card is a special card that doesnt effect nor will effect anything HB can do. That product is is by Datel which has a third party license to do what its supposed to do. Its basically a preloaded action replay. Im not 100% sure what you want to do with Animal Crossing... maybe someone with the game canby MiniMii - Getting Started
Also there are some channels that you can't get rid of unless you use AnyTitleDeleter which I believe doesnt work on 4.0 (someone can verify this since I dont use it) and delete the ones that cant be deleted like the Weather and News channels.by MiniMii - Getting Started
If I backup all my saves from a 4.0 Wii, then reformat the Wii, will that reformat it back to 3.2 (which was what it came with) then move the saves back to the wii will this work?by MiniMii - Getting Started
Fat32 and Fat are basically the same thing except that the 32 signifies longer file names. More importantly its used for HC cards. So this shouldnt matter. What kind of a cards are you using?by MiniMii - Getting Started
1. why would you want to downgrade ? 4.0 is great because of the sd support... 2. if you actually bought your games instead of pirating you wouldnt run into this problem 3. the reason why your having this problem is when you buy a game theres is a specific ticket(or license) that gets downloaded on your wii which lets it know that you've really bought the game and allows you to move iby MiniMii - Software
If you legally purchased games then you SHOULD be able to copy your games back and forth to your Wii.by MiniMii - Software
1. Homebrew it self will not harm your Wii. Only if you abuse or misuse some of the applications that require HB to install. 2. Games will not stop working, again only if you misuse the apps 3. Yes you can still install on 3.4, Read here: I dont have a fail story, I dont use the other applications like Gecko, patchmii etc... now you can take the risk of pirating games and that CAN briby MiniMii - Getting Started
Quotecclloyd9785So wait, i can update from 3.2U to 4.0. I used the old DVDx installer to install it. It wont be disabled at all? No it be disabled if you already have it installed.by MiniMii - Homebrew Applications
i dont think its possible to run games from the sd slot without having 4.0by MiniMii - Software
cheating online yes, if you get caught... if your playing online with HBC or any other apps installed, no using a pirated copy of a game, yes, if you get caught... its all whether you get caught... best bet is to NOT cheat and buy your games... and banned means banned... no online periodby MiniMii - Getting Started
If your in such a hurry maybe you can do it yourself ... else stop complaining...by MiniMii - Homebrew General
for now, wait till a new exploit comes out... some of the other sites say to reformat or try downloading straight to an SD cardby MiniMii - Software
doesnt wii fit already have a weighing system in the game ? When you first start the game and choose your mii, it weighs you before you start.... but i guess instead of booting up the game and picking your mii... why waste seconds right ?by MiniMii - Homebrew General
If you update through a game, I know for Mario Tennis, it says if you do not want to update, hold the power button for 4 seconds. And that message keeps coming up till you actually update or you cant play the game. And I brought up the EULA as an example that Nintendo can't auto update without your permissionby MiniMii - Software
QuoteSyrekcouldn't I download the Homebrew Channel on someone elses Wii then transfer it to my Wii via the SD card? No you cant, You cant get anything to run from the HBC from the SD slot, it will give you an errorby MiniMii - Software
Quotedaniel_c_wAs of now, there is no update without user interaction. There is no 'auto update'. All updates must be user accepted. Thus when you hit ok to update, you accept the EULA. The user(you) MUST accept the EULA yourself, thus making you liable if you do anything to the Wii.by MiniMii - Software
Once you buy the game, through the shop channel you "Should" be able to re-download them... If it gives you the option that you can, then download them to an SD card, from there you should be able to move the games if you want to to the Wii, but its bes tto leave them on the SD card to keep your Wii memory free I've read the error has been going around and has NOTHING to do with HBC. Somby MiniMii - Software
still looking for HBC to support my SDHC card... :(by MiniMii - Homebrew General
@Darkshadow - yes... its technically the same game save file...by MiniMii - Getting Started
hmm.. I have version 1.0.1 / IOS 36 12.22 and still nothing with my SDHC... and its been out for awhile... guess Im just out of luck...by MiniMii - Getting Started
so a modder friend of mine who does 360s and PS3s says my problem might come from HBC not being compatible with my card since the Wii can se the card... which makes sense, since its software and in the PC world it would just be updating/installing drivers. now with that said, couldnt HBC be updated to work with HC Cards ? IMO it would make sense to update HBC to be able to read more HC cardsby MiniMii - Getting Started
QuoteArikado On 4.0, you cant launch or even move the HBC from the SD card to the Wii. There is a way to install something to fix that actually. But I'm pretty sure WiiBrew doesnt support it. Oh ok.. yeah I have HBC on both as a precaution to when I updated to 4.0, I havent tried running anything from the SD card HBC. Maybe I should try just to see what happens...by MiniMii - Homebrew Applications
not sure if there is an HC reader... I thought it was universal... but if there was a difference is the extra money worth a few seconds? And wasnt HC support part of 3.4 ? 4.0 might of opened up more HC support but I believe 3.4 was the start of itby MiniMii - Homebrew General
So the PNY 16GB HC card doesnt support HBC. I've reformatted 100 times and cant get any apps to show up. Any ideas ? I can get my games to work from the SD card but no apps to show up. My 2gb card works fine. My other apps on the Wii dont see the the apps or .dol or elf files on the card, only the stuff in the 'private' folder. any ideas to get this to work ? Also, if soby MiniMii - Getting Started
