^^You do realize that the hackmii installer wont let you install the homebrew channel if you any cIOS modules on your system right? You got to get that junk off your system, and do the above suggestion. Then it will work. QuoteBartolinSBut i lost the HBC. How can i launch DOP-Mii without HBC ?. I would post this in the general section, but seeing as Arikado never lifted what was supposed to be a 6 day ban from it before when I was mistakenly accused of advertising when linking to a product page on best buy (which I wont drop so dont bother asking me to, cause others do the same thing and recieve zilch for it), which means I subsequently cant ask it there. Anyways I was wondering whatby nightwishfan1 - Getting Started

Bumping this thread since FreeDo went open source recently. Link to google code page is below. Yes I know the thread is old, but recycling never killed anyone so dont start moaning and griping mods and admins.by nightwishfan1 - Ideas, requests
Well one way to get your feature if he doesnt add it would be to request the feature with the VBA team for the pc version. That way it would be less work for him to incorporate it, since he wont have to code it in from scratch.by nightwishfan1 - Homebrew Applications
Doesnt really matter if it would be possible or not, as Tantric (the emulators maintainer) is pretty much done working on it in terms of adding new features, and what not. The only thing he'll do for his emulators is keep them updated with their pc counterparts, and fix small minor issues. Outside that dont expect too much more.by nightwishfan1 - Homebrew Applications
QuotefrzfrzYeah, it might be my SD card. I use a microSD to SD adapter. I'll buy one and post the results here. I'd suggest Wal-Mart, or Best Buy to get one. You can get a PNY or SanDisk 2GB card for about $8. You can probably get a smaller one if you wish, but if you're using SD cards for your homebrew than a 2GB card would give you more than ample space if the one you'reby nightwishfan1 - Getting Started
I pretty much made it clear what system menus bannerbomb was intended for. System menus below 4.3 I'm pretty certain I said. The TC has 4.2. Anyways... There is one important thing to note about yu-gi-owned though, which you may have overlooked inadvertently. It uses regular SD cards to run. it doesnt have support for SDHC from what I've read on a few google search results. Theby nightwishfan1 - Getting Started
You got system menu 4.2 so why not just avoid the fuss with the yu-gi-owned exploit and use bannerbomb v2 instead? You shouldnt have any need for the yu-gi-owned exploit on system menus lower than 4.3. Here's a link for bannerbomb v2:by nightwishfan1 - Getting Started
Awesome. Will give this a try and report back in this thread if any issues occur. Edit: Seems that whatever I got running from the last time is still running, and unchanged, which is leading me to believe that one of the mission packs didnt feature "enhanced" textures at all. That being Ultimate Challenge I assume. I come to this conclusion, cause I'm using the same .sod files from laby nightwishfan1 - Homebrew Applications
Oh ok. Just checking since Laughingman got around an error by file swapping .sod files with the .sd2/3 files early on, but was missing the "enhanced" textures as a end result.by nightwishfan1 - Homebrew Applications
I assume this new method utilizes the .sd2 and .sd3 files from their respective mission packs correct? Your previous installation method with dosbox seems to have mixed results. I know that whatever I accomplished in running isnt the original Spear of Destiny at all, nor can I tell if it's one of the mission packs, though assuming from the challenging first level I'd have to surmise tby nightwishfan1 - Homebrew Applications
For Wii64 I'm sure they'll attempt to add such support for zipped roms. Wiisx on the other hand I dont think so....... It's not listed as a goal for that emulator, and reason that would be is because cd images must be raw files in order to be read correctly. Any cd media based console emulator will read raw file images unless noted otherwise.by nightwishfan1 - Homebrew Applications
^^^You run the gamegen.exe with the original Spear of Destiny .sod files in the directory he specified, but you need sod.exe there as well. Gamegen.exe is the mission pack installer. With the .sod files placed there it doesnt create it's own .sd2 or .sd3 files, or w/e offshoot file it would create normally, and with the sod.exe file it recognizes the directory it's installing to as thby nightwishfan1 - Homebrew Applications
Sorry for double post, but tried patching the game .sod files with a mission pack .exe installation to use with the Wii port, and the result is odd, and I dont know what to make of what to do with the files I have. I believe two of the original .sod files I placed in the directory were overwritten, as their file names are in all capital letters. On top of that I got 21 .map files for the indiviby nightwishfan1 - Homebrew Applications
^^^The end aim of what he's trying to do is get them running on Wii, which has been what I've been trying to do like you have. Note the clear step where he says that after installing the mission pack that would overwrite the original .sod files he says to try and use them in his port once they are overwritten. You read my posts as though I'm trying to install to PC only, when inby nightwishfan1 - Homebrew Applications
So....A simplified process....If I'm understanding you right would be: 1. Get the original Spear of Destiny files from my cd/diskette, and create a directory under dosbox for them and install them. 2. Keep only the specified .sod files and keep them where they are, and create the sub directory you specified for the mission pack, and copy those there as well. 2. Get the mission paby nightwishfan1 - Homebrew Applications
If you can obtain the swf video files of w/e you're attempting to play then you should be able to use those in conjunction with WiiMC since it is said to support the format.by nightwishfan1 - Getting Started
QuoteLaughingMan008Quotenightwishfan1EDIT: An idea I had about how I may have gotten the one mission pack running is I think I installed Spear of Destiny mission 1 on my pc then installed the contents of the mission pack as well, then placed the files in the Spear of Destiny Wii build folder. Either put them directly in the main directory, or make a sub-directory in the main directory called soby nightwishfan1 - Homebrew Applications
Just because Formgen doesnt exist anymore doesnt mean that someone else has retained the rights to the mission packs. Usually when a company dies off their rights to certain things are bought by others, or the whole company, and rights to everything they have developed are bought outright. That, or as you assume their rights to what they develop become abandoned. Anyways I messed with the miby nightwishfan1 - Homebrew Applications
A few things I found when checking into this was that he is/was a member at dcemu.co.uk so you may be able to find a user profile there if he still is a member. An earlier version of his engines for the wolf and spear ports had downloads hosted on other forums where it mentions in the description that he could be contacted via irc, though no specific channel was given, and that may have changedby nightwishfan1 - Homebrew Applications
You cant do anything about the emulator saves/save states so you basically got screwed on those, as the emulators save to SD card and not wii memory nor can they save to the Wiis memory. You'll just have to work on the games you had saves for again. It would've eventually happened anyway when a new update to a given emulator came out, and if you updated since saves/save states are notby nightwishfan1 - Getting Started
I dont think it's possible to have the Wii recognize a USB controller as a Gamecube pad plugged into a USB port on the Wii. For one a Gamecube controller has specific electronic signals it sends to the Wii when in use. It would explain the need for conversion devices that offer separate plug ins for other controllers.....Example would be PS2 to GC converters. I was on another forum and someone proposed the idea of Wii homebrew being able to recognize USB controllers for PC as Gamecube pads when such a device is plugged into the USB slots on the Wii. This I know isnt possible, but it brought about the idea that some homebrew developers could integrate support for USB controller inputs, since IOS 58 opened up more USB devices to be useable by the Wii.by nightwishfan1 - Ideas, requests
One word for you......Beta........Meaning it's test code, that is unfished and buggy. If you cant get a certain game running then there's not much anyone can tell you, cause it wont be running probably for a long time. It's just how things go with betas.by nightwishfan1 - Homebrew Applications
It could be just the fact that something in the newest version breaks something in the code, which results in the freeze or any number of things. If you have a google account you can search the app name on google code search followed by Wii like so: Super Mario War Wii. You should get the projects google code page and there once you're logged into your google account you submit a new issuby nightwishfan1 - Homebrew Applications
Some of the apps are emulators, which were derived from game systems that each emulator mimmicks. Some people like the idea of playing such apps on a TV screen as the systems emulated were traditionally played via console inputs and watching the TV screen. Why are you two hijacking this thread for your own request?? If you want a port of Redneck Rampage then just make a separate thread for it instead of hijacking this or someone elses thread. In many forums thread hijacking isnt tolerated very well, cause it isnt very hard to create a new topic about something, and the hijackers subject matter spins a given topic into off-topic posting, troll posby nightwishfan1 - Ideas, requests
^^No sweat, though another idea crossed my mind in regards to a comment you made before. About getting heretic, and hexen working on Wiidoom. Seeing as Wiidoom is a source port of the Doom game engine you might be able to view the source code of yet another source port engine to see how it has been accomplished on that particular port, and you may be able to replicate that code in some fashionby nightwishfan1 - Ideas, requests
Maybe add keyboards as a controller option? The game natively takes advantage of keyboards, and it would alleviate problems people have with adjusting to limited buttons that would require button combinations to do actions in game that normally would only require one button on the keyboard to pull off. This could be added to your Heretic port as well.by nightwishfan1 - Ideas, requests
