@antibyte I tried switching the 3d mode after moving the camera. it still didn't work Hopefully @tchagui will have better luck experimenting with it.by owen - Coding
directly download the lastest WiiMC from the wiibrew website and put it on your SD card. your SD Card might be full.by owen - Homebrew Applications
@antibyte I still have not figured out how that vertex array works! I am trying to move the view two times in a single frame. Taking a screen shot each time. That's what the code above is doing but the second screenshot does not receive new camera positions. I am trying to avoid drawing the world twice.by owen - Coding
I was experimenting with drawing a view then taking a screenshot, then moving the camera and taking another screen shot but unfortunately you cannot move the camera after you start drawing the frame. Here is some code that you can experiment with; guVector center={0,0,0}; float screen_width = rmode->fbWidth; float screen_height = rmode->efbHeight; float screen_center_x = scrby owen - Coding
cool. Tips for increasing speed; store the screen centre value in a variable at the start of the program. screen_center = (rmode->fbWidth * 0.5f ); Do not use a loop to draw your boxes. It is often faster to hardcode the vertex positions for things you draw often.by owen - Coding
Just quit tell the user to re-launch the application and then quit the current program. Why go through the trouble and addition code?by owen - Coding
Its not a hard thing to fix. I am sure someone who knows how to compile it will get around to it eventually.by owen - Homebrew Applications
just test it and see what happens. it should work. though testing network stuff takes a lot of time.by owen - Coding
search on the internet for; "delete files in c" or "file management in c" or "directory listing in c" or "rename file in c". try using; Most of the file stuff on works the same on the wii as it does on a pc. Also note that when you use wiiload call this function; chdir("/apps/wiicraft/"); so that the current directory points to the right place.by owen - Coding
For other files you will either have to download them one at a time or download a zip file and then figure out how to unzip it. try a simple file first before attempting a whole directory.by owen - Coding
here is the HTTP Download Example by tek; here is the Netsend Example Source; both examples where found at the bottom of this page; both should work. I have an alternate version that I hacked together that I use for my asteroids game but you can try those first. Basically what you do is download the file call it boot2.dol. delete the current boot.dol. then rename the downloaded bby owen - Coding
I assume you are refering to The source is included in the download. The only problem I see the "libjpeg" functions have changed a bit (or there probably is a copy of the old code) and switching the file to load from the card image from the SD card instead of being hardcoded into the game. I could do it for you but I don't know how to use the JpegLib.by owen - Homebrew Applications
no. buy a classic controllerby owen - Homebrew Applications
things to test; - that the online leaderboard option loads the results - only scores above 5000 are posted to the online leader board. - while playing your score turns yellow if you beat your last high score - when you bring up the online leader board you will see a faint status message behind the leaderboard that shows when its connecting. if it fails 16 times it will turn off the online dby owen - Testing Corner
Updated the game again. added a online leaderboard score table which can only be described as "flaky" but it works well sometimes. The http stuff I am still trying to debug but I put up the new build so that at least wiibrew gets a update this month. :) oh an it uses the wii-nickname as the name used for the online highscore table. not sure how people feel about that.by owen - Testing Corner
@tchagui yes classic controllers are supported. I should probably put up a demo with source for it when I get some time.by owen - Coding
isnt it the same as just getting the system time? link this;by owen - Coding
Currently I am planning to do a game with multiplayer support. As far as I see it 4 players using wiimote + nunchuck and 4 using gamecube controllers is the optimum setup. Classic controllers can be used by one of the first 4 players. So right now its 8 player maximum on one screen. I will probably do a single screen party game like super mario war. Is this the standard setup?by owen - Coding
cool, right now I'm kinda stuck on the code for implementing online leader boards into NewoAsteroids. But I have started a multiplayer party game (probably zombies or like super mario war) and a long overdue update of NewoShooter with extra levels.by owen - Coding
I think you will have to set the Viewport then draw some stuff. then set the viewport for the second player and draw some more stuff from the second players point of view. At least thats how I think it works.by owen - Coding
Hey, 2 months of fun in the hand is worth 1 in the bushes. Or what bg4545 says, lol.by owen - Homebrew General
You need to read the documentation for the menu library that you are using. Or create your own menu code. You basically have a int menu_selected=0; then when you press down you increment the variable; menu_selected++; or menu_selected--; Its basic stuff. IF those source codes in the links are too hard for you to read I would suggest you learn to code your own menu first. I did that for myby owen - Coding
I'm confused. Do you want the source code for a menu? Check out orby owen - Coding
this thread should be in the hardware section. look in there for answerby owen - Coding
QuoteCliff44QuotedancinninjaThis...is not written in c. I am confused. It would be confusing cause it is written in blitzmax. I need to change it to c! Oh I see it now, ewww. Probably better you start a simple demo before porting all that code. It seems to have allot of structures. You got any of the devkitpro samples running on the wii yet?by owen - Coding
You might not need to re-write the whole thing. Just take out the parts which use hardware specific stuff. Create some wrapper functions for those and the rest of it should run basically the same way. Have you ever written anything for the wii in devkitpro?by owen - Coding
Yeah, a Wii Xmb is not worth the effort and would probably make games lose frames per second.by owen - Homebrew General
I was playing around with Graficos 3D para Wii (PDF + Ejemplos) over the weekend. It works well on its own but is a bit tricky to hack into grrlib. So if anybody has not seen this code before; Examples and documentation on how to do shadows and reflections in TEV. The documentation and comments are in Spanish but can be easily translated. The code does work and is complete. For advanced Gby owen - Coding
i ran this and it worked on my sdcard mkdir("test", S_IRWXU|S_IRGRP|S_IXGRP);by owen - Coding
From my tests I get the best results by either using absolute or relative file names; "/apps/programname/config.txt" or "config.txt" "settings/config.txt" also try changing the working directory in c; chdir("/apps/programname/");by owen - Coding
