You don't need BootMii for the Homebrew Channel. It is mainly for recovery purposes only. As you have figured out, you can use the Homebrew Browser and other homebrew apps without BootMii.by bg4545 - Getting Started

First of all, following YouTube videos blindly is a bad idea. It is a good idea that you took pause to ask here. It is perfectly fine to continue. What the message is saying is that you cannot install BootMii as boot2. BootMii/boot2 is not necessary for homebrew and is only helpful when it comes to restoring a bricked/messed up Wii.by bg4545 - Homebrew General

If you have no BootMii and no way to load homebrew (such as Priiloader/Preloader), you cannot fix your Wii. You would need a hardware NAND programmer and a fresh NAND dump.by bg4545 - Getting Started

Use Letterbomb or some other way to load homebrew to load DOP-Mii, then install clean, unmodified versions of all the IOSes you have patched. Then re-install the HBC and it should work. Note that these forums don't support cIOS or USB loaders. They are likely the cause of your Homebrew Channel issue.by bg4545 - FixMii

You copied save data of the games and not the games themselves. Whoever sold you the Wii probably had the games on a hard drive or something like that (the Wii only has 512MB of memory) so you don't have any games to play unless you bought your own.by bg4545 - Homebrew General

It would work however unless you backed up your games beforehand then there would be no way to get the disc images of your games. You could download them but that has questionable legality even if you own the disks.by bg4545 - Homebrew General

The emulator channels you installed are forwarders and require you to have the emulators on an SD card. Make sure your drive is formatted as FAT32 so that homebrew can read it. We don't support USB Loaders on these forums; Read the rules.by bg4545 - Homebrew Applications

You cannot get a save file from the content.bin file. All save files are stored on the SD card as data.bin files. You had copied the channel to your SD card, which does not include the save file. The content.bin contains the channel itself and is useless on your new Wii since you can redownload the channel.by bg4545 - Homebrew General
