C or C++?

OK, i'm going to get a programming book and i wanted to know if i should get C or C++, i already know some C.

I would continue on and master C first. If you jump back and forth between the two as a beginner, you risk confusing yourself. Unless you're in some hurry, I'd take my time to get really good in one language. And if you're interested in writing small games, I think C is a fine choice.

However, if you're short on cash and already have a good C book, I'd get a good C++ book to round out your library (if you don't have one already).

My friend let me barrow his Absolute Beginner's Guide to C so now i have finished that and there is a list of other books in the back and i wasn't sure about which language to pick, but i think i'll take C++ now. any good book for going into C++ from C, the book name one, it's called Moving from C to C++

Have a look at "Thinking in C++" by Bruce Eckel. It's a free ebook. click

"C++ Primer" is also a decent book to learn C++. click
