Putting back Wii Virtual console games to the SD - help

After using the homebrew channel successfully for sometime, I decided to finally put the Virtual console games and my Animal Crossing City Folk photos back on my SD card. I got the folders on my SD card, but when I tried loading up one of my games (this case it was Majora's Mask) it gave me some message like "this channel could not be launched. Manage your Wii System memory to launch this channel." And it has two options about formatting the system memory. I still have the Virtual Console files and photos from ACCF backed up to my PC, however...but what should I do?

What I'm mainly asking for is, where do I arrange the files for my VC games so that they load? Or, do I go format the Wii System memory so that I can play them, but would that risk getting rid of my Homebrew Channel?

Move a few channels from your system to your SD card. If they aren't Nintendo channels, obviously do not move them.
