I have try to read the FAQ and all that stuff. However, i am not still too sure what all the things it talks about are. I am not even sure I really need all of them, all I want is to be able to play backups of my games in the wii.

Is there any easy-to-follow and free guide that shows you how to do this?

Backups aren't supported here. Any guides there are are most likely illegal (contain illegaly redistributed IOS WADs), and also dangerous. At WiiBrew, we believe homebrew is for that, homebrew, not piracy/"backup" loading.
