first timer, may we ask how to...

So we're clear, I'm new and the rules are important to me. May we ask (note that I'm asking if I can even ask) how to put a game file that I OWN on to a disc? Long story short, I put a disc to my hard drive so he could play it on my laptop without my son breaking off my DVD drive tray. My little boy put the physical disc into our DVD multi-disc changer on top of another movie already loaded, scratched it beyond repair. I even put it in my commercial grade disc repair machine, but the damage was too deep. I'd like to put an "owned" copy of a game I paid for back to disc so he can play it on his game system. I'm very seasoned at making videos to disc from VOB files and have all the best proggies, but my first attempt only put the game files on the DVD-R, not the game.
Again, this is a paid version of the game I own. Moderators I welcome your answer to my request to ask this question.
