MPlayer CE does not save settings

MPlayer CE is shaping out to be the killer app the Wii needs for a Media Center.

My only complain is that it does not seem to save my settings. For instance I set the screen to 16:9 and Loop function to 1 and as soon as I back out a few steps in the menu the settings revert back to the previous state.

Can anyone help on this?

Well I didnt write the app, general code design indicates that this is extremely easy to fix.

I'm not sure that this is a bug. I looked through the app's googlecode site and nobody seems to be complaining about it so I asked here in case I was doing something wrong.
