Snes9x, VBA, FCE Ultra GX - load times

I've been playing the newest versions of each of these for a week or so now, and until tonight, everything has been great. I am now getting long load times for all ROMs, in the neighborhood of 45-60 seconds, which I had not previously been getting. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Homebrew Channel, and I have tried a different SD card with no luck fixing the problem. My Genesis emulator still loads very quickly, so I'm really clueless to what the problem could be. Any help is appreciated, and I am otherwise absolutely in love with these emulators - saves me a ton of space and a mess of jumbled cables under the TV!

I just bought a brand new SD card, copied my stuff from the older card, and now everything seems to be running fine. It's a 2gb card instead of my previous 1gb cards, so maybe that has something to do with it? I really don't know. Oh well, at least everything is fine now!

i had the same problem.
exept it was becouse i was playing patched games..
