MPlayer CE won't play DVDs

i used the latest cIOS installer and then moved over MPlayer CE into my apps folder. i load homebrew channel and then load the mplayer. i navigate through the menu and choose play dvd. at the top of the screen it says mounting dvd and then nothing happens. any ideas?

what system menu version are you currently on?

try using Hackmii Installer 0.3 or 0.4 TEST to install DVDx (don't use the 0.5 version, it has a different TitleID and thusly, mPlayer_CE won't work with it), and that should fix your problem. If you want, send me a PM and I'll send you one of these versions

the cIOS you should have used is on this page [wiibrew.org] but if you install an older DVDx, you won't need the cIOS to play DVDs

so i uninstalled the .5 and installed the .3 and it still doesn't work. i must be missing a component or something

hrm... well, I know I have issues with certain DVDs on the program (for example, Pink Floyd's: The Wall), have you tried any other DVDs?
