vbagx smb issue (also snes9gx, wiiexplorer)

I'm unsure what changed in code (except "improvements" ;D) but I had working settings for various apps to use SMB to my WD Worldbook (Linux Samba) so as to save space on the SD. Primary example I have is vbagx. I updated from 2.0.6 to 2.0.8 (automatic update when asked) and then the share was borked. Same for snes9xgx and fceugx and wiiexplorer. So I changed settings (a lot), reformatted twice (FAT32/FAT), upgraded HBC (1.0.6) and 3 hours later still nada. So I had a brilliant idea to downgrade. I put 2.0.6 back on and wouldn't you know it just worked again. Checked my samba logs and the server just hickups when I connect with 2.0.8 but it connects to a XP file share just fine. I can live with staying on 2.0.6 but the devs may want to look into it. I wasn't going to post it as a real bug unless someone else can confirm this.
