question about startpatch v4.2

Hi i have updated my wii to v4.2U and i was wondering if startpatch v4.2 uses cIOS 249 because i heard that updating will overwrite it and i don't want to do anything illegel to reinstall cIOS 249 again, could someone help me out please?

Why dont you just run it and see if it works?

It lets you choose the IOS to use, but the IOS must have ES_Identify in it.
