SNES9x GX 4.2.5 Lag

So I recently updated to the most recent version of SNES9x GX. I wanted to see if anyone else is running into the same issue I ran into this past weekend.

I was trying to play Super Mario All-Stars + World and I noticed a serious lag in the time I pressed the jump button and the time mario actually jumped.

I am using one of the new Pro Classic Controllers as well I was playing on a Big Screen and was sitting about 6 feet from the TV.

Could there be a lag due to how far I was away from the Consol? If not, what could the problem be?
