VBAGX crashes constantly

Several times now my visual boy advance emulator crashes at a seemingly random time in my games. Happens to any game. I'll be playing, then *BRRRRRRRRRR* black screen, reloads the homebrew channel in 8 seconds. There seems to be no pattern, sometimes it'll do it after an hour or so, sometimes only after 7 minutes. It's gotten to the point where I'm constantly using save states after every 3 minutes or so to avoid losing my progress.

I tried to remove the application from my SD card entirely and installed the latest version fresh, but still get the problem. Any suggestions?

Do you have any unnecessary external devices plugged in?

Just my Rock Band hub, would that cause it? My other emulators don't crash at such a rate as far as I can tell.

The program wasn't designed to have that device plugged in, it got confused, and it crashed. As another user put it once:

How would you feel if something was randomly stuck into you without you knowing? :P
