Wii64 Saves not working AT ALL!

Hey there folks I'm here looking for some help with a problem I'm having.
My Wii64 refuses to save to both SD and USB. I've set the setting to both SD and USB seperatly and it still doesnt work. When I click on configure settings it says error saving settings.cfg to SD/USB

I have a "saves" fold in both my USB and SD folders any help for me?

Same here, I can load and play roms, but when I try to save and re-load them later, it doesn't find the savestate, so I have to start again, just to "save" and find myself trying to load a state but failing.
Also having wii64/saves and wii64/roms.

No idea what I'm doing wrong.

Using the latest Wii version, European, and 1.1 Wii64.

TL;DR: Can't load saves I seemed to create. How am I supposed to save and load them? Someone has instructions?

I even plugged my USB into my PC and I saw the save files there but it still doesnt work.

I'm using 1.1 and Im from USA.
