rockband 2

I just bought rockband 2 yesterday. I have HBC installed. The wii version is 3.1. The game need to update to play. My question is, can I do the update without bricking the wii. Do I still have HBC after I update?

If you update you wil not brick your wii. You will not lose the HBC. You will most likely lose dvdx, the ability to install fakesigned WADs, and the ability to install a cIOS.

To get around having to update. Do one of the following:

1)Put Gecko OS on your SD card. Load Gecko OS and choose reboot with hooks. This will allow you to play games via the disc channel without updating until you unplug you wii.

OR

2)Upgrade to 3.2 via tonas anyregionchanger. Put Starfall on your SD card. Run Starfall and choose to install the skip disc update hack.

I went ahead and did the update, everything seems to be working fine afterward, haven't tried others yet but the HBC and backloader still works.
