Will bootmii's backup work? A little confused...

My memories a bit fuzzy on this...which is why I need help with it.

I read updating to 4.2 made it impossible to use boot2 with bootmii...so I never bothered updating to 4.2

But now in another topic, I'm reading that NSMB wii updates boot2...

when I made the update for NSMB wii, bootmii WAS removed, but I put it back on the same way as before (with bannerbomb, and I installed it as boot2 again)

I DO have bootmii on my Wii, but will bootmii still work if I needed to upload a backup to it? (Is this too hard to understand?)

My Wii isn't broken or anything, I'm just wondering if putting a backup on it will actually work if something were to get broken.

Also, whats up with that pirate page I got sent to? I'm not doing anything illegal!

The 4.2 update (and NSMB update) update boot2 and overwrite BootMii, but BootMii can just be reinstalled and it will work correctly.

The pirate thing comes up if you don't check the little box that you have read the warning.
