wii update to latest from 3.3U

I installed homebrew 2years ago and thinking its kind of outdated. Today I installed homebrew 1.08 successfully. Is it advisable to update wii to 4.3 (I guess it is the latest)?

It really doesn't matter. If you'd like to update it is safe, if you'd like to stay on 3.3 that's fine too.

If you want SD menu, you must update to at least 4.0, and the easiest way is an official update to 4.3. Also the easiest way to get Shop Channel working.

But for now I have another question, my wii has backup launcher which hasn't been updated since it was installed. I couldn't find its version on config menu also. Is it good for newer backup games? or Is there any better app to play backup games? Please advise.

We don't support backup games. If the are really backup games then you should have no problems playing the originals.

I leave backup discs for my children. They spoiled originals within a month. Even they spoil backup disc, I can create another from original.

Well rules are rules. You should have know not to post about backups.
