WLAN performance

Hi@all
sorry for my bad english but I hope you understand my question/issue. I would like with the WiiMC app my VOB video files playback directly over WLAN. Unfortunately there are very much dropouts wherefore I have investigated the Wii WLAN performance. In all Homebrew apps (with WLAN support) I'm get only 4,2 Mbit/s throughput over WLAN. Therefore the question is this a limitation from the Ninentdo WLAN driver, from Homebrew app, from WiiMC or anything else ? Is it possible to fix this problem ?
The Wii is in g-mode connected to my router (g-only mode) and I can obviate that is an issue from my WLAN.
