USB storage

Hi, first time poster, long time lurker.

I've just successfully set up homebrew on my Wii running 4.3e. I'm wanting to use my usb external HDD for storage but I've noticed that the only format file systems are NTFS and exFAT. Does this mean I'll need to buy a new usb drive? If so do you have any suggestions that have worked for you? Ideally I would get a 16gb flash if I need to.

Thanks

If you have a drive you can just reformat it (remember to back up anything you need from it first obv.).

Thanks for the advice. What I was saying is the only formatting options I get through right clicking on the drive in my computer are NTFS and exFAT (not FAT or FAT32).

Will exFAT work? or is there another way to format the drive so I can have FAT system?

Oh sorry, I understand now. You could try a different formatting tool, such as this: [www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk]

The problem is that Windows will only format drives 32GB or less to FAT32. That tool has no such limitations. I have not personally tried it, but I have read it works well.
