Found 4.0 Downgrade! No CIOS Needed!

err...as a general rule, GBAtemp links are usually bad...run it by a mod first before posting

It doesn't seem to be bad, you just need to "find" IOS35 or whatever.

ive done it and it works. downgraded to 3.2 and then used wanikokos 4.0 updater and everything is good.

Hmmm, if you can find IOS35 in a disc and dump it, or download through NUS Downloader... I think there is no problem.

EDIT: Involves WAD editing, installing and wait there, a download link for a WAD, maybe? No, it's not cool.

Not good. IOS35 seems to be the new 16.

Works, I can confirm downgrading to 3.2.

hmmm...maybe I'll risk updating and then go back to 3.2 then if it sucks...

Make sure you have everything you need installed beforehand.

Nice find, though I have no need, I'm still on 3.3 :) No HBC though, so I couldn't use it anyways.

why don't you install the HBC if you are on 3.3?

Long story short, I had the LoZ: Twilight Princess disc..... then lost it when we moved. I was so ticked. I'm going to either wait for Comex to release the exploit or rent the disc from Rogers(Canada). Probably the latter :P

Just a rule of thumb, gbatemp links are fine as long as theres nothing illegal in them. gbatemp policy does not allow their users to post download links to WADs anymore, and I dont see anything bad in the post myself though.

However, I have to aggressively disown Wankys upgrader. Please dont speak of it here.

catch 22 :( i have 4.0 virgin updated from nintendo and NOO HBC i need <3.4 to install hbc and i need hbc to downgrade from 4.0 . please post real how-to cos everyone know it can be done from hbc the problem is doing it without HBC .
how does nintendo program these chips from the start anyway there has to be some remote app that you can run from a pc .

In my view that would be pointless, as if you were able to load a downgrader you'd be able to load HBC. We'll just have to wait for the exploit to be able to load HBC. Then if you want you can downgrade, although my guess is most people trying to downgrade just want HBC anyway.
