I have put the smashstack file onto my SD card. Does it need to be SDHC?

Just to clear things up: I think it mustn't be SDHC 'cause Brawl can't read SDHC cards.

SmashStack is currently only compatible with US version (RSBE)

WAXY! You will never believe what I got to work. It seemed there was a problem with the SD card reader/writer on the computer I was using. Now, where can I get some Homebrew Apps to put on my Wii? I don't have an internet connection to it at the moment.

Yay! I'm glad you got it installed! Okay, now for apps:


(I'm just going to copy/paste what I just said to another guy lol):

On the root of your SD card, make a folder called apps (not Apps or APPS, it needs to be apps.).

Download The Homebrew Browser, unzip it, and put it in the apps folder. It should appear on the HBC.

Make sure your SD card looks like this:

Root/apps/homebrew_browser/boot.dol, meta.xml, icon.png

If you wouldn't mind, do you know exactly what the problem was? And what exploit did you use? Bannerbomb or Smashstack?

As far as I could tell, the problem was with the built-in SD card reader on an old laptop I was using. It didn't seem to be able to write files so that the Wii could read them, and could not read the files the Wii wrote to the SD card. After using the SD card reader on my GF's computer, which is brand new, I was able to do this flawlessly.

I ended up using the SmashStack exploit, and it worked like a charm.
