pimp my wii freezes when...

...When its conducting a test of my of my IOS. it freezes on 20/28.

has anyone else had this issue, and is there a way around it?

We don't support that app here. It is very dangerous and generally a bad idea to use; especially if you don't know what you're doing.

It's simply a terrible app, it's very poorly coded and does a huge amount of very invasive modifications that are completely unnecessary for at least 99% of it's users, without them understanding what it's doing or why. There have been countless reports of bricked Wiis from that app (mostly probably due to users not knowing what it happening and just accepting random options or whatever), and I would strongly recommend you do not attempt to run it. Figure out what you need/want to do to your Wii, and do it manually. It's much, much safer, plus you'll actually understand what you're doing and why, which is an extra layer of safety.
